The Mavericks "absolutely" plan to bring back impending free agent Jason Kidd, sources tell ESPN.com. Kidd's contract is up at the end of the year and he turned 39 on March 23. However, he says he wants to play another year and a one-year deal makes some sense. The Mavericks ideally see Kidd as a backup to Dallas native and fellow impeding free agent Deron Williams.
