ESPN's Jim Gray is reporting that Kevin Garnett spoke to Kobe Bryant to find out if Kobe would stay with the Lakers if Garnett was acquired from the Timberwolves in a trade. The deal that would send Garnett to the Lakers appears to be losing energy and it sounds unlikely to happen as of today. The Wolves are still thought to be shopping KG, but with his $25 million salary, it's going to be tough to move him anywhere.
