Carmelo Anthony: Nuggets still hoping to keep Melo

    Carmelo Anthony - F - NY - Aug. 27 - 5:19 pm et

The Nuggets aren't giving up hope that they may be able to retain Carmelo Anthony. Or at least new vice president of basketball operations, Masai Ujiri, hasn't.
"I love Melo," Ujiri said. "The Denver Nuggets want to keep Melo, and that's our priority. Carmelo is the Denver Nuggets, he's the city of Denver, he's done so well on this team. So we're going to deal with the issue full force." With Melo, J.R. Smith and Kenyon Martin all possibly on their way out of Denver, fans are probably glad to hear something positive coming from the team. But it still feels like the chances of Melo staying are very slim. Aug. 27 - 5:19 pm et
