Kirk Hinrich, who missed 31 games last season after surgery to repair a torn ligament in his right thumb, will see a hand specialist on Monday regarding a similar injury to his left thumb. For now he's considered day-to-day and there's even a small chance that he can play on Monday night, although we'd be surprised if he did. "There's a mild-to-moderate sprain of the ligament in his thumb, so he's gonna see the specialist on Monday, then we'll have a better evaluation," coach Vinny Del Negro said. "The good news was that the ligament is still attached." We doubt Hinrich will need surgery this time, but he may need a couple weeks off to let the injury heal. We should know more on Monday evening. Nov. 29 - 10:58 am et Source:Chicago Sun-Times
