NFL Network's Steve Mariucci reports that Brett Favre is considering the Packers' $20 million proposal for him to stay retired, but "would prefer to play." Just take the money, Brett. However, "multiple NFL executives" say that the money would count against Green Bay's salary cap. The offer would pay Favre $2 million annually in ten installments. This may be one of the reasons for Roger Goodell's delay in reinstating Favre. The always cash-conscious Packers could end up pulling the offer if it hurts them long term.
