Vikings coach Brad Childress says he hasn't spoken to free agent Brett Favre in "several weeks" and that "as far as I know (Favre) is still retired," but still wouldn't rule out the possibility of signing him. Childress acknowledged that the club has looked into Favre's situation -- which we already knew -- and said, "Are you interested in a Hall of Fame caliber quarterback? You’re always interested in going through the process and discussing it and investigating it." The Vikings obviously want Favre. The health of Favre's throwing arm is the only thing delaying a union.
