According to ESPN's Cris Carter, Brett Favre will start the Vikings preseason game on Friday. Meanwhile, Favre's own mother, Bonita, confirmed he will take a few reps in the game. Carter obviously knows a thing or two about Minnesota, and Favre's mom seems like a pretty reliable source. It seems a little quick to get thrown right into a game after possibly three days of practice, but Favre will need all the work he can get with his new team - even if he does know Brad Childress' offense like the back of his hand.
