Coach Ken Whisenhunt did "not provide much optimism" about Kevin Kolb's (toe, foot) Week 12 status at the Cardinals' day-after presser Monday. Whisenhunt said Kolb was "not close" to playing in Week 11. Kolb is dealing with multiple significant injuries, so this was never going to be a quick return. Whisenhunt also reiterated that John Skelton would start at St. Louis if Kolb is unable to play.
