In his most recent mock draft, Pro Football Focus analyst Steve Palazzolo slotted Rutgers WR Leonte Carroo to the Los Angeles Rams at pick No. 15.
Carroo caught 39 passes for 808 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2015, despite only playing in eight games. Only eight because an ankle injury limited him late in the season while suspensions limited him early. We think Palazzolo's logic of Carroo to the Rams makes sense on a theoretical level. They've already shown that they're willing to take on players with character risks, as in the past when they drafted Janoris Jenkins and Alec Ogletree. And they need a wide receiver, as their corps combined to total just a few more catches than Julio Jones did last season. The only real issue is that their most pressing need would be quarterback and in Palazzolo's mock, Carson Wentz slides all the way to No. 20. It's difficult to see the Rams would pass on the North Dakota State gunslinger if he's still available. Feb. 7 - 5:11 pm et
