Mark Sanchez: Report: Mark Sanchez out til at least Week 3

    Mark Sanchez - QB - CHI - Sep. 4 - 8:11 am et

A source tells the New York Post that Mark Sanchez (shoulder) is expected to miss at least the first two weeks of the regular season.
Sanchez bruised his right shoulder on Aug. 24 and hasn't been able to throw a football yet. There's reportedly a fear from doctors that throwing will make the injury worse. By the time Sanchez gets back, it's possible rookie Geno Smith will have run away with the starting job as the rebuilding Jets want to develop their young talent anyway. The Post notes that releasing Sanchez would cost the Jets $8.25 million in real money, as well as count $12.8 million against the cap this year and $4.8 million in 2014. Sep. 4 - 8:11 am et
