Robert Griffin III: Lombardi: Polians were very high on Griffin

    Robert Griffin III - QB - CLE - Feb. 9 - 11:28 am et

Appearing on Thursday's Bill Simmons BS Report, NFLN's Mike Lombardi passed along "rumors" that Bill and Chris Polian preferred Baylor QB Robert Griffin III over Stanford QB Andrew Luck.
The Polians were fired in January, of course. "There were rumors, and these are only rumors, that the Polians liked Griffin better than Luck," said Lombardi. Lombardi repeatedly "promised" Griffin will either be taken first or second overall. "I promise you he'll be the second pick of the draft," Lombardi said of RG3. "He could be the first pick. I can't promise you that, but Luck and Griffin are going to go 1-2 in some combination. I can promise you that." Feb. 9 - 11:28 am et
