Barry Sims: Niners add OT depth, sign ex-Raider Sims

    Barry Sims - T - SF - Jun. 23 - 12:52 pm et

49ers signed OT Barry Sims to a two-year contract.
They offered more money than the Ravens, Patriots, or Rams. Sims, 33, started 16 games at left tackle for Oakland in '07 and had a ton of false starts, but it's a good sign that respectable GMs (Ozzie Newsome and Scott Pioli) were interested. Sims is expected to battle RT Jonas Jennings to start. Jun. 23 - 12:52 pm et
