Antonio Pierce sought a second opinion on the bulging disc in his neck and he does not need surgery, as expected. Dr. Watkins agreed with the Giants' docs. Pierce will rehab on his own and try to get the disc to shrink. The Giants starting middle linebacker is still out indefinitely and it would be a surprise if he plays again during the regular season.
