    Brad Richards: Report: Richards turned down Stars offers

    The Dallas Stars reportedly offered Brad Richards' two contracts before the trade deadline comparable to the ones signed by Joe Thornton and Patrick Marleau.
    Thornton inked a three-year/$21 million deal and Marleau signed a four-year/$27.6 million contract. If the report is true than it suggests that Richards wasn't interest in giving the Stars even a moderate hometown discount, perhaps because of the uncertain nature of the Stars' ownership situation, especially at the time. Richards will likely seek a five-plus year deal worth at least $7 million per season. The Toronto Maple Leafs, New York Rangers, and Tampa Bay Lightning are some of the teams that might bid on Richards this summer. Stay tuned. Jun. 6 - 11:12 am et
