Jiri Hudler: Coach says Hudler should reach 70 points

    Jiri Hudler - W - CAL - May. 12 - 7:13 am et

Detroit coach Mike Babcock is expecting a productive 70-point campaign for Jiri Hudler next season.
"Well, I think it's 70 points," Babcock said Monday. "That's 70 points we didn't have. That's a second power-play unit that can score. It's more goals for everyone because of the plays he can make. Huds is gonna be committed. He'll go and he'll train all summer long, and he'll come back in great shape, and he'll be all fired up. We're going to give him an opportunity to be a top-six forward. He's gotta show he can be one, and we'll see what happens." Hudler's career-high for points in a single season were the 57 he put up in 2008-09. He posted 19 goals and 35 assists in 54 games for Moscow Dynamo in the Kontinental Hockey League this past campaign. Hudler will be put into a situation to succeed in 2010-11 and he has all the tools to back up Babcock's projection. May. 12 - 7:13 am et
