The NHL and NHLPA are expected to meet on Tuesday and hold CBA talks throughout the week. Both the union and league are expected to say less to the media at this stage in an attempt to keep the focus on the negotiations. That suggests that the talks have progressed to a point where neither side is particularly eager to attempt to fight this battle through the media. The talks could break down without anything getting accomplished, but at the same time, there are certainly reasons to get optimistic about our chances of having a 2012-13 campaign.
