NHL commissioner Gary Bettman and NHLPA executive director Donald Fehr will attend Tuesday's meeting in New York.
Roughly a dozen players and several owners will join them. The NHL reportedly has altered its "make whole" proposal and would pay the players the full value of their contracts, rather than making deferred payments, but it hasn't been put in writing yet. The two sides also need to discuss how to arrive at a 50-50 split in hockey-related revenue. Contract length, free agency and how the salary-cap floor will be calculated are also key issues that require further negotiations.
