Pekka Rinne: Rinne could start on Tuesday

    Pekka Rinne - G - NAS - Oct. 4 - 8:42 am et

Pekka Rinne could get the start in goal on Tuesday in the Predators home opener against Colorado.
Dan Ellis was a bit of a surprise starter for the season opener, but coach Barry Trotz said that Ellis' outstanding pre-season and his gaudy record against the Dallas Stars, their opponent on Saturday, made his selection of Ellis more understandable. Ellis certainly did not let Trotz down as he stopped 38 of 40 in a 3-2 shootout loss. The goaltending situation in Nashville is up in the air, but at least it is with two very good goaltenders, rather than none. The controversy will last a while, until either Rinne or Ellis grabs the number one job from the other. Stay tuned. Oct. 4 - 8:42 am et
