Steve Downie: Downie will sit next 2 games with back injury

    Steve Downie - W - PIT - Nov. 10 - 3:58 pm et

Steve Downie will miss the next two games for the Lightning with a back injury.
He did not play on Tuesday due to the injury, when it was expected he would, and he has been battling the ailment since last weekend. Downie will not travel with the team on their two-game road trip that will see them play in Washington on Thursday and at Pittsburgh on Friday. "It's not bad, he's much better today," coach Guy Boucher said Wednesday. "But he wouldn't play in the two games anyways, so keep him here, rest and have him back probably this weekend." Nov. 10 - 3:58 pm et
