Brandon Sutter scored in the first period as the Carolina Hurricanes lost to the Toronto Maple Leafs 3-2 Friday night. This was Sutter’s third goal of the season all coming in the Canes' last four games. Sergei Samsonov scored the other goal for Carolina.
