Corey Potter: Corey Potter eyeing return next week

    Corey Potter - D - EDM - Dec. 10 - 7:05 am et

Corey Potter continues to practice with the Oilers and is looking to return next week from a sprained ankle.
Potter was injured three weeks ago and is trying to return for Thursday's contest against the Coyotes in Phoenix and failing that, next weekend. "It's definitely frustrating watching, you'd rather be out there to help out a bit, battling with the boys, but the only thing you can do is try and get yourself better as soon as possible," Potter said. "It's been a long three weeks, definitely, sitting and watching the team play." Potter was the surprise of the NHL in the early going as the 27-year-old had two goals and eight points in 16 games with six points on the power play before the injury. He'll look to pick it back up from there but could find some trouble returning to the first power play unit with Ryan Whitney back in the fold. Dec. 10 - 7:05 am et
