Alexei Yashin spent some time on Tuesday practicing with the Islanders' at their practice facility. Yashin started by skating with several players for about 30 minutes before taking part in an hour-long practice with a group of Islanders' prospects. Yashin is an unrestricted free agent and there's been some discussions about him potentially signing with the Islanders after spending several seasons in the KHL. Tuesday's activities are likely to lead to more speculation, but according to a New York Newsday source, he's "unlikely" to re-sign with the Islanders.
