Evander Kane: Evander Kane loves Winnipeg, wants to stay

    Evander Kane - W - WPG - Apr. 9 - 7:56 am et

Evander Kane, who is slated to be a restricted free agent this summer, enjoyed playing his first year in Winnipeg and is open to staying with the organization.
"We're going to have see what happens and sit down and talk with my agent," he said when asked about contract talks. "That's why I pay them the big money. There's a lot going on with the new CBA and all that kind of stuff." Kane also spoke glowingly about playing at the MTS Centre this campaign. The 20-year-old winger produced a personal best 30 goals and 57 points in 74 games during the 2011-12 campaign, so the Jets probably want to lock him up for the foreseeable future.
