The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed minor league defenseman Simon Gysbers to a one-year deal. No financial terms have been announced. The 25-year-old rearguard played 68 games for the Leafs AHL team, the Marlie where he had five goals and 29 points after a 31 point effort in 2010-11 in only 60 games. He is a depth defenseman for the Maple Leafs at this time but could get a call up next season if there are injuries with the big club. Jul. 24 - 4:45 pm et Source:TSN.ca
