Bruce Boudreau: Boudreau doesn't like distraction excuse

    Bruce Boudreau - C - ANA - Feb. 4 - 6:30 am et

After losing three of their last four games, Ducks coach Bruce Boudreau isn't happy with the suggestion that the upcoming Olympic break is distracting his team.
"Whatever it is, it's an excuse," Boudreau said. "It may be true. I don't know. I'm not distracted. If it is, then we got to change it. Because it's not right. Why isn't Columbus distracted? Why wasn't Dallas distracted? They all got guys going to the Olympics. They got guys waiting for the break. If we're winning the games, nobody's talking about distraction." The difference between Anaheim and teams like Columbus or Dallas is that these games are critical to the latter two teams. Even after dropping three of four contests, the Ducks have a nine-point lead in the Pacific Division. This is a hard time for teams to stay motivated when they've basically locked their playoff position. Feb. 4 - 6:30 am et
