Veteran defenseman Denis Gauthier is in a dog fight for a roster spot on the Flyers. Kimmo Timonen, Braydon Coburn, Lasse Kukkonen, Derian Hatcher and Jason Smith are sure bets to make the team, leaving Gauthier to battle with Alexandre Picard, Randy Jones and Mike Rathje for the last regular position on the Philly blueline.
