Rams coach Sean McVay said Aqib Talib (ankle) will probably need surgery.

Talib is getting a second opinion before undergoing surgery. The Rams are hopeful he'll still be able to return this season. The good news is that Marcus Peters (calf) could play as soon as Thursday against the Vikings. Assuming Talib misses at least 4-6 weeks, the Rams will be forced to lean on the lot of Sam Shields, Nickell Robey-Coleman and Troy Hill across from Peters.

Steelers declared RG David DeCastro, RT Marcus Gilbert, QB Mason Rudolph, WR Justin Hunter, S Marcus Allen, S Morgan Burnett, and DE L.T. Walton inactive for Week 3 against the Bucs.

B.J. Finney and Matt Feiler will fill in on the right side of Pittsburgh's offensive line. With Hunter inactive for the second consecutive week, rookie WR James Washington is again expected to play an integral role behind Antonio Brown and Juju Smith-Schuster. CB Coty Sensabaugh will also reportedly start over Artie Burns Monday for performance-based reasons.

Bucs declared rookie RB Ronald Jones, DT Vita Vea, DT Beau Allen, CB Marcus Williams, OL Alex Cappa, OL Mike Liedtke, and WR Justin Watson inactive for Week 3 against the Steelers.

Although Peyton Barber has struggled in efficiency, second-round RB Jones failed to crack the Bucs' active list for the third consecutive game. Tampa Bay will roll with Jacquizz Rodgers and Shaun Wilson behind Barber. First-round DT Vea was limited in practice throughout the week and out Monday but is reportedly close to returning to help shore up the Bucs' trenches. Starting CB Brent Grimes (groin) is active for Monday night.

Colts released RB Christine Michael.

It's a likely indication that Marlon Mack (hamstring) will return this week. The Colts will move forward with Mack, Jordan Wilkins, and Nyheim Hines.

Colts coach Frank Reich insisted Monday that the team is not concerned with Andrew Luck's arm strength.

The Colts are almost never challenging defenses in the vertical passing game, and they pulled Luck for Jacoby Brissett to attempt Sunday's last-gasp Hail Mary pass against the Eagles. "What I've seen is he makes all the throws," Reich insisted. "There's been plenty of throws down the field, in my mind ... (What) I've seen is a guy who is extremely accurate. I have no concerns about velocity." The Colts return home to face J.J. Watt's Texans next.
