Evan Engram came down with three catches for 18 yards on seven targets Thursday in the Giants’ Week 12 loss to the Redskins.

Engram saw plenty of targets in Sterling Shepard’s absence but obviously didn’t move the needle much in this one. The rookie committed two drops, which gives him nine for the year. That’s second in the league behind only Amari Cooper. This was a night Engram will want to forget, but lucky for him, he’ll be in prime bounce-back position next week against a listless Raiders secondary.

Roger Lewis corralled three-of-seven targets for 26 yards Thursday in the Giants’ Week 12 loss to the Redskins.

Lewis was the big hero last week with his overtime catch versus Kansas City, but there were no such heroics on Thursday night. He converted a third-and-long with an impressive 19-yard catch in the second quarter, but was otherwise held in check. He gets a favorable matchup against the Raiders next week, but remains little more than a desperate bench stash in fantasy.

Orleans Darkwa managed just 30 yards on 11 carries while adding one catch for nine yards on one target Thursday in the Giants’ Week 12 loss to the Redskins.

Darkwa’s workload Thursday was his lightest since Week 7. What’s more concerning is that he was out-snapped by rookie Wayne Gallman, who led the Giants with 37 yards on nine carries. With Gallman beginning to get more work, Darkwa will just be an RB3 next week at Oakland.
Nov 24 - 1:00 AM

Shane Vereen provided 18 yards on three carries while grabbing one-of-two targets for nine yards Thursday in the Giants’ Week 12 loss to the Redskins.

His lone catch came with 1:49 remaining in the fourth quarter. Vereen has seen a combined nine touches over his last two games and hasn’t visited the end zone since Week 3 of 2016. As the third-string running back in a bad offense, there’s not much to like here. Vereen can be safely ignored in all fantasy formats next week against the Raiders.
Nov 24 - 12:58 AM

Eli Manning completed 13-of-27 passes for 113 yards and one interception Thursday in the Giants’ Week 12 loss to the Redskins.

Eli took four sacks for a loss of 27 yards. Manning was doomed from the start playing without Sterling Shepard (migraines) and never got on the same page with Evan Engram (three catches for 18 yards on seven targets). He only made it to the red zone once and ended the game by throwing a pitiful interception into double coverage. Even with all his weapons, Manning is hit-or-miss. Without them, he can barely function. Manning gets a glorious matchup against Oakland in Week 13, though his streaming appeal hinges on Shepard's availability.
Nov 24 - 12:57 AM

Kirk Cousins completed 19-of-31 passes for 242 yards with two touchdowns and one interception while adding four yards on three carries Thursday in the Redskins’ Week 12 win over the Giants.

He was also sacked six times for a loss of 41 yards. Cousins didn’t have his best stuff on Thursday night, which was understandable given the short week. It didn’t help that the Redskins were playing without pass-catching back Chris Thompson and star tight end Jordan Reed. Cousins made lemonade out of lemons, showing a strong connection with Jamison Crowder (7-141-1) while also finding Josh Doctson for the go-ahead touchdown with under four minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. Cousins’ interception—which Janoris Jenkins returned for a 52-yard touchdown—wasn’t his fault as the ball deflected off Byron Marshall. The main complaint was that Cousins held onto the ball too long, which is something he’ll need to iron out for next week’s game at Dallas.
