Sunderland have agreed a loan deal for Inter Milan midfielder Zdravko Kuzmanovic, but fear Everton could make an 11th-hour bid to scupper the move.

Paolo Di Canio has been looking for a playmaker for his midfield and Kuzmanovic is willing to go to Sunderland, but the Daily Express suggest he may be holding out for interest from the Toffees, who will move for the 25-year-old if they lose Marouane Fellaini. Sunderland are also interested in midfielder Michael Bradley from Roma and Swansea midfielder Ki Yeung-Sung as Di Canio looks to conclude the busiest transfer window for an individual club in the history of the Premier League. They will need to sell to buy, so Stephane Sessegnon could be on his way out.

Burnley cannot seem to buy a goal these days but their defense came off a productive weekend despite the 1-0 loss away to West Ham United.

Burnley are now on six games played without scoring a single goal, with the past four matches all ending in 0-1 or 1-0 results. Their defense though has been respectable, conceding a total of ten goals in their last ten games combined. Despite keeping clean sheets in only two of those contests, Claret defensive options have shown to be productive, such as this past loss to the Hammers. Three of the four defenders reached double digit points in the Yahoo game, including Ben Mee who scored 11. They will be tasked to stop Dame N'Doye in a pivotal relegation battle this coming weekend.

Seamus Coleman had a tough day for fantasy managers as Everton shipped three goals in their loss to Aston Villa over the weekend, resulting in a nice price discount.

Coleman had the worst score of any of the Toffee defenders with a -4 in the Yahoo game. That has triggered a price drop which should be considered for Week 35 as Everton will be set to host Sunderland. While the Black Cats are coming off of a positive display with a win at home, odds are they will find things difficult at Goodison Park. Between attacking and defending potential, Coleman should be among the ranked defenders to own for Week 35.

What was once assumed to be a replacement because of injury woes and a subsequent shift in form, it appears Glen Johnson has now carved out a place in Liverpool's XI.

Brendan Rodgers has recently changed his formation to restore a conventional back four instead of three, and it has handed Johnson another opportunity after spending much of 2015 as bench depth. Part of the initial take on the formation shift was a perceived injury to Alberto Moreno but he has since been declared fit only for Rodgers to stick with Johnson this past weekend. The England international is going for pretty cheap in the Yahoo game, but even if you think he is back for an extended run, you may want to wait an extra week as the Reds will be traveling to Stamford Bridge next.
May 5 - 11:07 AM

With Daryl Janmaaat and Mike Williamson both suspended for their next match, expect another patchwork defensive unit named by John Carver as Newcastle host West Brom this weekend.

Fabricio Coloccini will be at center back as per usual, otherwise Carver will have to move a few pieces around lest he wants to dip in to his youth squad. Expect Ryan Taylor to shift back to right back to fill in for Janmaat, Jack Colback to shift to left back from central midfield and Paul Dummett, who would normally be at left back, to push in to partner Coloccini. It would be difficult to imagine anything but a long day at the office for this unit, so despite not being known for attacking investment, the Baggies should be looked at for possible options there to potentially exploit the Toon.

Swansea City's tidy 2-0 win over Stoke City at the weekend saw plenty of positive fantasy performances from the in-form side, but a trip to the Emirates next may prove difficult for them to keep up things up.

The Swans had big games from their defensive unit but to imagine a clean sheet away to the Gunners with the way they are attacking right now seems nearly impossible. Arsenal are pretty tough to score on right now too, having kept clean sheets in two of their past three and not conceding more than one goal in any of their previous ten. It may be a week to avoid the Swans if you can, but one prospect might be worth looking at in Ki. He is one of the best midfielders in the fantasy game this season and is still below 10m in price. He has a knack for popping up with goals in fixtures like this and can accumulate points in other categories should he fail to score or assist.

The future of Erik Lamela has been a question hanging in the balance for Tottenham as he wraps up his second season with the club, but recent performances have given Spurs reason to smile.

One of the marquee signings in the aftermath of the Gareth Bale transfer, it had been nothing short of disappointment for Lamela for most of his Tottenham career until recently. After falling out of favor most weeks since the holiday season, he has seen a resurgence since Mauricio Pochettino turned back to him in recent matches. He assisted against Newcastle in Week 33, scored against Southampton in Week 34 and while not earning either credit this past weekend against Manchester City, he put in another solid shift that earned him 12 fantasy points. He could make for a nice low ownership play down the stretch this season.

Arsene Wenger made it 4-games unchanged as Arsenal travelled to the KC Stadium on Monday knowing that a comprehensive victory would steal second place back from rivals Manchester City. However the Gunners’ did recall Tomas Rosicky to the bench as injury ruled Danny Welbeck out.

The England international was not available for selection because of knee inflammation although Wenger confirmed the "problem did not look serious." It is envisaged Welbeck will be available for the visit of Swansea next weekend [if not] then certainly for the Manchester United game 6-days later. The Arsenal physio room is looking unusually sparse these days with only Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain [groin] and Mathieu Debuchy [hamstring] receiving treatment which has coincided with a major upturn in league form.

Alexis Sanchez scored two in the first half as Arsenal beat Hull City comfortably to draw even with Manchester City in second place with a match in hand.

Sanchez's first goal had a touch of luck to it as his free kick deflected off of Michael Dawson's head to wrong-foot Steve Harper. Sanchez watched as Santi Cazorla provided Arsenal's second goal as he fed Aaron Ramsey with a ball from deep that allowed the Welshman to turn neatly and loop a slightly deflected ball over the again-helpless Steve Harper. Sanchez capped off the first half with a smoothly taken goal from an Aaron Ramsey pass. Ramsey put the Chilean in and he rounded Harper to slot it into the open net. Arsenal gave up a Stephen Quinn headed goal in the 56th minute but closed it out for the 3-1 win.
May 4 - 4:51 PM

Hull City were first unlucky and then overrun in the first half as Arsenal took a 3-0 lead into the break on the way to victory at the KC Stadium.

Stephen Quinn's consolation goal had a hint of a foul on Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny but it went uncalled and Quinn headed home to give Hull City a brief glimpse of hope. It wasn't to be as there was too much Arsenal in the first half with Alexis Sanchez, Aaron Ramsey and Sanchez again scoring for the Gunners. On to Burnley next weekend where Hull City need a win in the worst way to avoid relegation.

Ramires has taken to social media to reassure supporters that he is okay after the Chelsea midfielder was a late withdrawal from the side which took on Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge.

Juan Cuadrado came in for only his third league start [since moving from Fiorentina] but the winger once again failed to live up-to his $40 million price tag before being replaced at half-time. Meanwhile Brazilian TV reported that Ramires had been taken to hospital because of kidney pain although there was no official press-release from the club. Post-match Jose Mourinho confirmed that he would be cutting his celebrations short to visit the midfielder, however it wasn’t until 24 hours later that Ramires was able provide an update - renal complication - amid growing speculation of a serious problem. The player is hoping to feature again this season but having won their fourth Premier League title on Sunday Mourinho may decide not to risk Ramires.

Chelsea edged Crystal Palace 1-0 at Stamford Bridge, clinching the Premier League title.

Champions of England for the fifth time, Chelsea went wire to wire at the top of the table, clinching their fate with three matches to spare. The only goal of the game came at the end of the first half, when James McArthur fouled Eden Hazard in the area. Hazard, the best player in the league this season, stepped up to take it. It was a poor effort, stopped by Julian Speroni, but Hazard followed up the rebound to head home his 14th league goal of the season. Stamford Bridge is rocking right now, and there is nothing boring about it.
