Tottenham's Gareth Bale was award the Professional Footballers' Association player of the year on Sunday.

The winger scored 19 goals this past season, which was apparently enough to beat out two fierce competitors in Manchester United's Robin van Persie and Liverpool's Luis Suarez. Bale is a dynamic talent when on the pitch for Tottenham, but there have been constant rumors about him potentially leaving the club.

Real Madrid and Manchester United have reportedly agreed on a deal for goalkeeper David de Gea.

This one has been running in the rumor mill for over a month now and it seems it's finally coming to a close. The deal will reportedly send David de Gea to Real Madrid in exchange for £29m and Keylor Navas. Manchester United should be happy with the deal as it's close to the record paid for a player with just one year left on his deal. Sergio Romero seems set to be Manchester's goalkeeper for the rest of the season and he is a top-three fantasy choice at the position.

Southampton forward Emmanuel Mayuka leaves the club after disappointing three years.

Mayuka joined the Saints in 2012 but has failed to score a league goal in his time at the club. The striker is now headed to Metz on a three-year-deal and he can safely be dropped in all fantasy leagues.

Jack Grealish missed Aston Villa's week four match with an ankle injury.

Our own Galin Dragiev had recommended Grealish last week but the midfielder picked up an ankle injury in training on Friday and was forced to miss out. Scott Sinclair got the start in his place and ended up scoring a brace to go along with his hat-trick in midweek last week. It's uncertain who will start for Aston Villa in week five, but we are assuming Sinclair gets the nod after his two impressive performances last week.

Amid rumors of a potential move to Norwich City, Jon Walters has reportedly asked out at the Britannia.

The rumor mill indicated last week that Stoke City knocked back two bids from Norwich City for forward Jon Walters. One of last season's pleasant surprises, Walters hasn't seen a lot of action so far this season. He started the first two matches but was withdrawn after 58 minutes in the second and hasn't seen the pitch since. With depth improving at the Britannia, it seems sensible for Mark Hughes to cash in on what little value is out there for a journeyman forward who will turn 32-years-old in September. Walters' value to fantasy managers immediately increases if he does get a move to the Carrow Road where Cameron Jerome doesn't offer particularly stout competition for playing time.

Tim Sherwood has remained hopeful that Adama Traore and Jack Grealish will be available for week five.

Traore missed week four with an ankle injury that doesn't sound to be too serious and he has a good chance at recovering for week five, especially with the extended rest he'll be awarded due to the international break. Jack Grealish also suffered an ankle injury and he is also questionable for week five. There is a lot of time left until then, so check back in the days before the match to confirm their status.

West Brom have signed goalkeeper Anders Lindegaards on a two-year-old.

The Manchester United goalkeeper never had a chance at winning the Red Devils' starting goalkeeper job and he will join West Brom, where he'll battle with Boaz Myhill and Ben Foster for the starting job. Foster is currently out with an injury and Myhill hasn't impressed enough to be guaranteed the job, so Lindegaard certainly has a chance to start as soon as week five. Keep an eye on the situation before you add him in fantasy.

Bologna have signed Sunderland midfielder Emmanuele Giaccherini.

Giaccherini joins Bologna on a season-long loan after being out of favor at Sunderland. He had four goals and four assists in 1356 minutes last season and didn't do enough to warrant consistent fantasy consideration. At Bologna, he might get more consistent playing time, but his fantasy value will likely remain low in the Serie A as he isn't a constant goal threat.

Disappointing forward Brown Ideye has departed West Brom a year after he arrived having provided very little in-between.

Consider this a panic buy last season as the club struggled to replace Romelu Lukaku for the second straight summer. They over-spent on the Russian League refugee and everyone, except the Baggies' braintrust, thought it was a bad idea at the time and thought no better of it after he arrived. Ideye had a brief positive spell that coincided with the arrival of Tony Pulis but that was about all the highlights. He departs the Premier League for Greece likely netting the Baggies a significant loss in the process.

Bournemouth have secured the services of Glenn Murray from Crystal Palace.

The Palace striker was a part of a pretty big rotation and Bournemouth have taken advantage by grabbing him on a fairly good deal. The length of the deal is unknown, but we could find out more in the coming hours. Murray will have some fantasy value if he gets to start next to Callum Wilson, but don't be surprised of he starts his Bournemouth career on the bench.

Manchester United are on the brink of signing 19-year-old striker Anthony Martial from Monaco.

SkyBet has stopped taking bets on an Edinson Cavani move and he seems to be locked in to stay at Paris Saint-Germain, while odds for Anthony Martial are suggesting he'll end up at Manchester United. The Red Devils are reportedly close to signing the Monaco striker for £36m, which would break the record for a teenager. The 19-year-old has reportedly agreed to personal terms with United and the deal is expected to be confirmed by the end of the day. With Wayne Rooney struggling early on this season, it's not a surprise to see United go out and purchase a striker.

Bournemouth are one of the clubs pursuing Charlie Austin and have the most favorable odds at signing him.

Bournemouth have a 7/4 odds at signing Charlie Austin before the transfer deadline tomorrow. West Brom are second with odds of 5/2 and Newcastle are in the mix at 9/1. Austin is a very capable striker who proved himself in the Premier League last season by scoring 18 goals in 35 matches for QPR. He's already scored four goals this season in five appearances in the Championship. Any Premier League team that acquires Austin will automatically become better immediately.
