David Silva picked up what is being reported as a "slight muscle injury" in training, causing him to drop out of contention for Spain's match against Chile on Tuesday.

Silva had an MRI showing a "minor muscular injury" which was later revealed to be hamstring related. It is a situation worth monitoring as we edge closer to a return to PL action. Silva has been reliable in fantasy while with Manchester City and is probably the most dependable player for starts in their attack other than Yaya Toure. Managers should keep their ears to the ground for any follow up on this before investing in Silva for City's trip to Stoke.

Hull City manager Marco Silva is set to leave the club. However, he will not be returning back to the Premier League according to reports.

The Portuguese manager came close to working a miracle and saving Hull from relegation in his short stint in charge, but it seems he will now depart the club after a meeting with the owners later in the week. Watford were among a number of PL clubs said to be interested in employing him, however, it appears that the pull of Porto in his homeland will win out. Silva reportedly spent Tuesday in Lisbon in discussions with Porto, and has agreed to take charge of the club. While Silva had suggested that staying in England was of greater interest to him, Porto have taken advantage of PL clubs' sluggishness to approach Silva. They sacked their manager after one season in charge on Monday and are now closing in one their first choice replacement.

Chelsea have signed goalkeeper Eduardo to a new one-year deal that will keep him at Stamford Bridge until 2018.

The Portugal international has acted as the third-choice goalkeeper since signing from Dinamo Zabreb last summer. While the 34-year-old has yet to make an appearance for the Premier League champions, the looming departure of Asmir Begovic means Eduardo could find himself as the backup to Thibaut Courtois next season. On signing his new deal, Eduardo said: "I am very happy to stay at Chelsea for another year. This season has been very successful for the club, and everybody has made me feel like a part of the family. I hope next season can be just as positive and we can win many more trophies. "

Cesar Azpilicueta says he is not interested in rumors linking him with a summer move to Barcelona because he is "very happy" at Chelsea.

Azpiliueta has proved to be an invaluable member of Chelsea since his arrival from Marseille in 2012. Operating at left-back under Jose Mourinho, the Spanish international shined at center-back this past term in Antonio Conte's 3-4-3 formation, playing every minute in Chelsea's second Premier League title in the past three seasons. While he has reportedly been identified as one of Barcelona's top targets ahead of the summer transfer window, the 27-year-old insists he is keen stay at Stamford Bridge. "It's flattering that a club like Barcelona can be interested in you," he told Spanish outlet Marca. "The interest of teams of this level is very positive, but I am very happy here." Apzilicueta, who signed a new contract in December that will keep him in London until 2020, added: "I feel very valued by the club and I do not think of anything else."

Laurent Koscielny's appeal of the red card he picked up against Everton on the season's final day was denied meaning that the Arsenal center back will miss the FA Cup final and the club's next two FA sanctioned matches next season.

With Gabriel also going off on Sunday with an injury, Arsenal are going to be significantly depleted at the back as they face Eden Hazard and Chelsea in Saturday's FA Cup final. Based on what we've seen recently, Arsene Wenger will likely choose Shkodran Mustafi, Rob Holding and Nacho Monreal as his central trio with Kieran Gibbs on the left and either Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (if he's healthy) or Hector Bellerin (if Ox isn't ready to return). If Arsenal win the FA Cup final then Koscielny will miss the Community Shield and Arsenal's first Premier League match of the season. If they lose, he will miss the first two Premier League matches of the season.

Bournemouth starlet Lewis Cook has received praise from his manager Eddie Howe after some good performances in the final weeks of the season.

Cook appeared five times for the Cherries towards the end of the season before missing the final day clash with Leicester as he is representing the England U-20s at the World Cup in South Korea. Cook arrived to the south coast club ahead of the 2016/17 season in a £7 million deal with Leeds United, and started the first PL game of the campaign before enduring a frustrating season on the periphery. However, Cook's displays since returning to the field off the bench in the GW33 defeat to Spurs have been promising. The highlight was the 20 year old supplying an assist for Junior Stanislas against Burnley. His manager favourably compared the Yorkshire man to Jack Wilshere, citing his comparable creativity, control and pace aided by an aggression similar to that of Harry Arter. Howe added: "Lewis is a very special talent... In a short time in the team, he really has been very productive." It sounds like Cook may be more central to Howe's plans next term.

When asked to rate his chances of moving to United out of ten, Griezmann said "Six". He went on to rate his chances of staying put and signing a new contract at "Seven". He completely ruled out a cross-city move to Real Madrid. Following the 2-0 win over Crystal Palace, Van Gelder told Ziggo that Pogba’s return "went well" before going on to suggest the 24-year-old had been receiving treatment from Dutch physiotherapist – Leo Echteld – for the past eight weeks to help cure a troublesome hamstring injury.
