Oft-injured midfielder Tomas Rosicky is at it again and will miss Arsenal's trip to Sunderland in Week 4.

With the arrival of Mesut Ozil and the emergence of Aaron Ramsey it is likely that Tomas Rosicky has been pushed one spot further down the pecking order in Arsenal's midfield. This is a good thing because the oft-injured Czech midfielder is out again with a hamstring injury. He will definitely miss the trip to Sunderland in Week 4 and will be assessed next week to determine his availability beyond that.

Javier Hernandez has left Old Trafford for Bayer Leverkusen and passed 19-year-old Anthony Marital arriving from Monaco in the process.

Chicharito has had a frustrating time at Old Trafford. He started off his United career with a number of critical goals as something of a "super-sub" under Sir Alex Ferguson. After failing to grab hold of a substantial role, the Mexico international was sent out on loan to similarly frustrating results. Perhaps the last straw was a missed penalty against Brugge in mid-week. United have sold the once-promising forward to Bayer Leverkusen on a permanent deal. Taking the Mexican's spot on the roster will be highly-rated 19-year-old Monaco player Anthony Marital who helped boot Arsenal out of the Champions League last season. The only concern here is that Marital, like Memphis, is young and taking a step up in competitive level. He may be a great player in time but hardly seems likely to be the immediate boost United are seeking in their attack.

Daniel Sturridge is back in Merseyside to begin training again with Liverpool as he takes the next step in returning from a hip problem, but Brendan Rodgers could offer not timetable yet on the forward's return to competitive action.

The important thing for Sturridge is that there hasn't been any setbacks in his recovery, as he is still on track for a possible return at the end of September. Given his injury record, expect a very careful, gradual introduction back into action. While a fit Sturridge can do wonders for the Reds attacking plans, they are in much better shape without him now that Christian Benteke and Danny Ings are in the mix versus last season, when the secondary options were Mario Balotelli and Rickie Lambert.

Norwich’s excellent away record shuddered to a halt at Southampton, leaving question marks as to whether they are equipped to face the demands of a long, hard Premier League season…

The optimistic will point to right-back Steven Whittaker’s (soft) sending off after half an hour. Plus, Southampton looked a different animal having shed the weight of the Europa League. But the fact that eight of the Norwich starting line-up were involved in the relegation of two season ago is a worry. For all their defensive organisation and tidy midfield play, they lack cutting edge. Manager Alex Neil has been trying to add a striker all summer – bids for Stoke’s Jon Walters and Wolves’ Benik Afoe are the latest to fall on deaf ears. Early season star performers Nathan Redmond was nullified and Wes Hoolahan forsaken in the re-shuffle after Whittaker’s red card. And once that happens, this Norwich side don’t have a lot more to offer but honesty and endeavour. The next couple of days could be make or break for the Canaries…

Man City racked up their 10th victory in a row, before announcing the £54 million signing of Kevin de Bruyne. It’s looking ominous for the rest of the PL…

It’s a perfect four from four this season for City, without a goal conceded. The one team in the Premier League with no discernible weakness has also added Europe’s most prolific goal creator of the recent seasons. Which means problems for managers. Manual Pellegrini has got to pick which players to leave on the bench… The rest of the PL managers have got to figure out how to deal with the players he puts on the pitch…And us FL managers have got to select which City players to own. Their ten goals this season have been scored by eight different players – the only two registering twice being Vincent Kompany and Fernandinho. Watford’s stubborn first half resistance was finally broken by Samir Nasri replacing Jesus Navas and Raheem Sterling playing centrally. David Silva was again the man that unpicked the lock. So where de Bruyne fits in remains to be seen. Perhaps Joe Hart will miss out – he didn’t have a shot to save on Saturday…

AFC Bournemouth came through a bruising encounter against Leicester City but the Cherries’ may be counting the cost of securing a point at Dean Court following knee injuries to Tyrone Mings, Max Gradel and Charlie Daniels.

Mings was left reeling in agony just five minutes into his debut following a challenge by Foxes midfielder Danny Drinkwater. The 22 year-old needed gas and air before departing on a stretcher while Gradel "knew pretty early that he had a serious one" confirmed Eddie Howe. Both players will be assessed over the next 48 hours. Early reports suggest Daniels’ injury – certainly in comparison – is only minor although he will be checked further. Marc Pugh was also limping towards the end of the game but having made all three substitutions the midfielder had no option but to remain on the pitch until the final whistle.

Garry Monk has confirmed that Jefferson Montero was rested - for the visit of Manchester United - as a precaution after feeling discomfort in his thigh during the Swans final training session yesterday.

Montero was a surprise omission from Sundays’ starting line-up as Wayne Routledge came in for his first start of the campaign. The South American has been in scintillating form and supporters must have been fearing the worst as an unbeaten United side arrived at the Liberty. However those concerns were laid to rest during a five minute second half spell when in-form strikers Andre Ayew and Bafetimbi Gomis grabbed the goals to help Swansea secure 3pts. Post-match the Jacks fans received more good news as Monk confirmed Montero would be available for GW5 "He had a scan, there was nothing clinical so that's good news. It was more soreness and tightness. We decided it was best that we didn't involve him today and risk him being out for a long period."

Chelsea used new signing Kenedy at left-back as frustrations about their defense grow.

The Blues have had one of the worst defenses in the league this season, which is very surprising considering their defensive prowess of the past few seasons. They are lacking speed at the back and Mourinho decided to replace Cesar Azpilicueta with Kenedy in the second half on Saturday. Kenedy played well there, despite being out of position, and was praised by Mourinho. We won't be surprised to see Kenedy or Baba Rahman start at left-back in the next match.

Southampton kept a clean sheet with ease today as they only allowed Norwich to get six shots off.

Norwich were down to 10 men midway through the first half and that was part of the reason they couldn't get anything going against the Saints, but Southampton were brilliant in defense and did well to only allow six shots. Out of the six, only one was on target, and it was easily saved by Stekelenburg. Southampton's defense seems to be getting back on track and we feel now is a good time to invest, especially with Ryan Bertrand coming back soon.

Bafetimbi Gomis continued his consistent scoring run, netting the game-winner as Swansea City defeated Manchester United, 2-1.

After having taken the double from the Red Devils last season, it looked as if Swansea were in trouble after going 0-1 down in the 48th minute, knowing that the visitors had yet to give a goal up on the season. The absence of Jefferson Montero (thigh) furthered the uphill battle. But this very balanced Swansea attack found the breakthrough not long after going down. On the hour mark, a quick counter-attack saw Gylfi Sigurdsson deliver a perfect cross to Andre Ayew who had a free header to beat the keeper. Then, six minutes later, Gomis scored for the fourth consecutive contest, meeting up with a perfectly weighted pass from Ayew to slot home from point blank range. Rumors are circulating about Gomis' 7m buyout clause in his contract. Clubs like United and Spurs sure look in need of his services.

Manchester United took the lead with a Juan Mata goal but their defense finally cracked and allowed Swansea City to come from behind and defeat them again, 2-1.

Louis van Gaal, meet Garry Monk. So much fanfare around LvG's arrival to Old Trafford last season, but he has now lost three in three to the young Swansea skipper and the Red Devil fan base will surely be asking questions as the transfer window closes about what looks to be a very inadequate attacking core. Wayne Rooney struggled once again up top and we are still waiting to see Memphis Depay make the kind of splash LvG was hoping for. They did manage to get a goal from Mata, who found a Luke Shaw cross at the far post to score his first of the season. Still, they need another playmaker in midfield and/or a striker before this window shuts. The Ander Herrera experiment in the No. 10 role did not work out well.

Sadio Mane was fantastic in Southampton's 3-0 win over Norwich today.

The midfielder was only credited with two assists but he was at the heart of all three Southampton goals today deserves as much credit as anyone on that squad. Mane created five chances on the day and attempted seven crosses, to go along with his two shots on target. He seemed healthy and rested after missing the Saints' midweek clash with a knock, and he seems primed for a huge season ahead. Buy low on him if you can, as some seem to be down on him at the moment.
