Robert Snodgrass was about the only thing positive to speak of in Norwich City's attack, as they are shut down by Aston Villa in a 0-1 loss at Carrow Road.

Snodgrass was the orchestrator in the Norwich attack today but the Canaries lacked any ability to finish on opportunities created. Oddly enough, the unit as a whole looked as if they were lacking any ideas after they had the advantage of Villa's loss of Benteke. The debut of Gary Hooper, subbed on in the 63rd minute didn't provide any spark. Normally, a goalless match by itself shouldn't be too much cause for concern, the fact that it came at home to a Villa squad who had failed to keep a clean sheet for 26 straight matches and were without the services of Benteke most the match should raise an eyebrow

Eden Hazard will miss the last match of the season due to a dental operation.

Hazard had to undergo an emergency removal of three wisdom teeth and will not be able to play in the final match of the season. Hazard also missed out on collecting his Football Writers' Association Footballer of the Year trophy. The Blues' midfielder is obviously expected to be fully ready for next season. We would expect to see Juan Cuadrado start for Chelsea with Hazard out in the final week of the season.

With Peter Crouch, Peter Odemwingie and Jon Walters all doubts for Week 38, Mame Biram Diouf might be lonely on top of the Stoke City attack.

While none of the three forwards - Crouch, Odemwingie or Walters - has been ruled out for sure, all of them are at risk of missing out on a season finale that means little to the Potters. Stoke City haven't provided a great deal of information about any of the injuries in question in their Friday press conferences so it may be nothing but fantasy managers should beware in bringing in any of the three Stoke City forwards.

After repeatedly indicating that Danny Welbeck would play before the end of the season, Arsene Wenger has reversed course and declared the England international out for Week 38 and the FA Cup final.

It has been a disappointing first season at the Emirates Stadium for Welbeck and Arsenal. After a move from Manchester United was supposed to lead to more playing time, especially at his preferred central forward spot, Welbeck hasn't played much more than he did for Manchester United last season. His opportunities have been curtailed by minor injuries, mediocre form, and the much better form of Olivier Giroud since February. It will be an interesting summer for Welbeck who could, once again, find himself as a spare part at a large club.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is back in training with the first team but will not be ready for Arsenal's season-ending match against West Brom at the Emirates.

Consider this season a half step forward for Oxlade-Chamberlain. When he played, he showed improvement along the path that could see him secure a starting spot on the right of the Arsenal attack or somewhere in the center of the park in the future. The downside was that minor injuries continued to plague his development. With Aaron Ramsey, Theo Walcott, Jack Wilshere and Danny Welbeck all missing significant time over the second half of the season, the Ox could have played a lot more but his own injuries got in the way. He may get a chance to come on as a substitute in the FA Cup final but he won't make it back for Week 38.

Tony Pulis will be missing only Ben Foster as his team heads to the Emirates for the final match of the 2014-15 season.

Coming down the stretch, West Brom has shown well and part of the credit should go to the training staff who have helped the team stay largely healthy even as the season has worn on. Aside from the Ben Foster ACL injury, they have nursed Saido Berahino, Brown Ideye and others who have had niggling injuries through those issues while allowing them to feature more often than not. Even Victor Anichebe is healthy for the finale which is saying something.

Sebastian Larsson will be assessed ahead of the final game at Stamford Bridge but Dick Advocaat will take no risks after a hard fought draw against Arsenal on Wednesday was enough to secure their place in the top flight for another season.

Larsson picked up a knee injury with around 30 minutes to go at the Emirates but the midfielder was determined to see game through and remained on the pitch as the Black Cats executed a perfect backs to the wall performance to secure the point they needed. With 9-games remaining Sunderland took a gamble on the no-nonsense disciplinarian - Dick Advocaat – and The Little General delivered finishing the season unbeaten in five - W2 D3. Sunderland travel to champions Chelsea this weekend in what is effectively a dead-rubber; Liam Bridcutt [knee] will face a late test but Alvarez, Gomez and Wes Brown are all ruled out.

Roy Hodgson confirmed that Ashley Young will not be included in the end of season internationals against the Republic of Ireland and Slovenia as the Manchester United winger has a "slight medical issue" which will be addressed over the summer.

The specifics of the injury are currently unknown but Young is believed to have been playing with the problem for a while now and with fourth place already assured Louis van Gaal may take this opportunity to rest a number of players in the final game. Luke Shaw is another who looks set to miss out; the left-back is still suffering from the after-effects of a James McArthur arm to the face. England under-21 coach Gareth Southgate revealed the defender will not be selected for the upcoming Euro Championships due to concerns over his fitness. However Wayne Rooney [dead leg] does have a chance after missing the draw with Arsenal at Old Trafford in GW37.

Roy Hodgson has said Jack Grealish can have a future with England if he wants one.

Grealish has played for Republic of Ireland at the youth level but he rejected a senior-squad call up recently as he debats whether to play for Ireland or England. The youngster qualifies for Ireland through his family and for England via birth. Grealish has impressed everyone in the past few weeks as he's been given a chance by Tim Sherwood and seems to have a bright future ahead. He will be a high risk, high upside pick in fantasy next season.

Ryan Shawcross was uncertain for Week 37 but he overcame his injury and put up big fantasy numbers in Stoke City's nil-nil draw at Turf Moor.

Three blocked shots, a clean sheet, two tackles won and two passes intercepted. That's a strong effort from a central defender and a good indication of why Burnley were unable to break through with a goal in their final home match in the Premier League before being relegated. Despite the strong showing Shawcross, who has been nicked up for a great deal of the second half of the season, might be at risk for being rotated for the final match after Stoke City eclipsed their highest-ever point total in the Premier League.

Stoke City were kept off the scoreboard and Charlie Adam was largely quiet with peripheral statistics as his fantasy production fell off significantly from the previous week.

Charlie Adam has enjoyed a revival in recent weeks due in large part to increased opportunity caused by injuries within the Stoke City squad. With Bojan and Victor Moses out, Mark Hughes has struggled to find the right combination of attacking players to keep the Potters on the score sheet. One of the beneficiaries had been Adam who went without a goal from mid-October to early April but has now scored four of his six total league goals over the past seven matches including six starts. He is a good bet to start the finale given his production and the lack of alternatives.

Marko Arnautovic continued his streak of yo-yo fantasy performances for the seventh consecutive week with a weak showing against Burnley.

1, 14, 3, 17, 3, 15, 4. You don't have to be an analytical genius to have predicted an off week for Arnautovic in Week 37 or to predict a big Week 38 either. A real data analyst will tell you that there is nothing "real" behind this sort of a pattern but with so little to base analysis on heading into a final weekend that is meaningless for so many teams and players, do you have anything better to base a selection on?
