West Ham United defender Winston Reid is due to undergo a scan later this week after suffering an adductor injury during Saturday's 3-2 defeat by Leicester City.

Reid limped off the field in the 18th minute of the loss at the weekend and the club fears their New Zealand international could be sidelined for an extended period. Jack Sullivan, the son of joint-owner David Sullivan, tweeted: "INJURY UPDATE- Reid scan later this week, but at least 4-6 weeks and might be longer." The injury to Reid is part of triple blow for manager Slaven Bilic as winger Michail Antonio suffered a hamstring problem, which forced him to withdraw from the England squad, and Perdo Obiang is feared to have suffered a season-ending ankle injury. With Angelo Ogbonna already lost for the season, due to a knee operation, James Collins is likely to partner Jose Fonte in central defense for the duration of Reid's absence.

Renato Sanches has been ruled out of Swansea City's Carabao Cup on Tuesday night with a thigh injury he picked up against Leicest City over the weekend, putting his Week 10 status in doubt.

Paul Clement stated that Sanches' thigh injury, which is not the same as the thigh injury picked up while on international duty a few weeks back, will not only keep him out of midweek cup action, but "possibly at the weekend as well." Sanches has done little to help fantasy managers since his loan spell began, regardless of format, and he does not have a stranglehold on a spot in Clement's XI, making his fantasy value nearly non-existent. With Ki Sung-Yueng back in the mix, Tom Carroll seemingly nailed on, and other options such as Leon Britton and Sam Clucas on hand, the 20-year-old prospect from Portugal has work to do to make an impact this season. Wilfried Bony will also miss the cup tie with Manchester United and remains a doubt for the weekend with a hamstring injury.

Northern Ireland are sweating on the fitness of Jonny Evans after the West Brom centre-back limped off with a suspected groin strain at Southampton on Saturday.

The Baggies defender was caught twice [accidentally] during the opening exchanges, on each occasion hitting the St Mary’s turf hard. Initially it seemed that Evans had landed awkwardly on his shoulder, but manager Tony Pulis revealed post-match that he had been replaced due to a muscular problem. "Jonny's [injury is his] groin," he said. "We're not sure [on the severity] until we scan it tomorrow." While West Brom have cover should he miss out this weekend – Allan Nyom, Gareth McAuley or Chris Brunt could all come into the side – the sight of Evans limping off will be more of a concern to Michael O’Neill whose Northern Ireland side take on Switzerland in a two-legged World Cup qualifying play-off game next month.

James Milner kept his place in the Liverpool side [from the 7-0 Champions League win in Maribor] on Sunday after Gini Wijnaldum picked up a knee injury on the eve of the game at Wembley.

The 31-year-old was handed his first Premier League start in over a month against Tottenham and after Heung-Min Son raced past him to latch onto Harry Kane’s pass [to make it 2-0] on twelve minutes - Milner was probably wishing he could take his place back amongst the substitutes...... which is where he'll probably end up next Saturday when Liverpool face Huddersfield at Anfield. Wijnaldum is poised to return after Jurgen Klopp confirmed his knock on the knee was "very painful" but nothing serious. "We couldn’t do it overnight. It’s not a big thing but the time was too short from yesterday to today, so he’s not even involved in the squad," he revealed after the 4-1 drubbing.

Everton announced the departure of manager Ronald Koeman after taking only eight points from nine games.

The Dutch manager was in his second season as manager, brought in two summers ago to take the club to the next level. While finishing seventh and qualifying for Europa League last season, the departure of Romelu Lukaku seems to have uncovered the club's glaring weaknesses. Only the bottom two clubs in the Premier League have move losses and less goals than third-bottom Everton, who has gone winless in its last five matches in all competitions with a League Cup match against Chelsea ahead on Wednesday.

Mauricio Pochettino was quick to allay mounting injury concerns after Harry Kane was replaced with two minutes, plus injury time, remaining in today’s fixture with Liverpool.

The in-form striker appeared to grab his left hamstring in the dying moments and was immediately substituted sparking fears that he could be set for a spell on the sidelines. But, to the huge relief of more than two million FPL managers, the Tottenham boss confirmed his withdrawal was due to fatigue and not injury: "He's tired, three games in one week and the effort was amazing from him." Pochettino went on to wax lyrical about the striker who once again scored to take him to the top of the goal scoring charts. "He is a fantastic player, one of the best strikers, it's difficult to find words to describe him - he's unbelievable, the effort when we don't have the ball - so professional." Kane will be rested in the Carabao Cup with a view to returning in the early kick-off at Old Trafford next Saturday.

A Premier League single-game attendance record was set today as Harry Kane contributed two goals and an assist en route to Tottenham's convincing 4-1 win over Liverpool.

Whatever nerves Tottenham were holding while playing at Wembley were eradicated today, as over 80,000 people showed up to watch an impressive display by Spurs. They got an early goal to take away any pressure, when Kane received a Kieran Trippier ball, kept his balance while rounding the keeper and found the back of the net. Eight minutes later, it was 2-0 when Kane angled a lovely ball to Heung-min Son and the latter slotted home. Liverpool would pull one back not long after, but Dele Alli's goal just before halftime, smashing home a ball cleared perfectly into his path, kept the momentum with the home side. Kane capped off his lovely day in the 56th minute, poaching a ball home after an initial shot from Jan Vertonghen. Kane went down late and was removed, but it looks initially to be a minor cramp issue.

Dejan Lovren had an afternoon to forget, forcing Jurgen Klopp to substitute the defender in the first half as Liverpool would get outmatched by Tottenham, 4-1.

Tottenham would get off to a flying start, scoring twice in the first twelve minutes, and Lovren was partially, if not completely, at fault for both goals. He allowed Harry Kane to get behind him easily for the first goal and then misread a header attempt, allowing Kane to easily find a teammate for the second strike. Klopp made the switch around the half hour mark, not long after the Reds pulled one back when Jordan Henderson delivered a nice through ball to Mo Salah and the Egyptian international clanked it in off the far the post. Any thought of a comeback was thwarted just before halftime though, when Spurs added a third goal. Liverpool created a few more chances in the second half, but their best chance, a blast by Philippe Coutinho, was saved well by Hugo Lloris. Lovren's days as a starter may be coming to a quick end.

Arsenal had already come from behind to lead when Idrissa Gueye was dismissed after seeing his second yellow card.

Things just keep getting worse for Ronald Koeman as Everton couldn't maintain an early lead and lost 5-2 to fall into the relegation zone. Wayne Rooney scored early from a Gana steal and assist. Arsenal scored three and saw Gana dismissed before garbage time goals from Niasse, Rasmsey and Sanchez.

Arsenal conceded two comical goals but scored five at Goodison for a comfortable victory.

Mesut Ozil and Aaron Ramsey both scored and assisted as Arsenal powered to a 5-2 victory early on Sunday. The two midfielders were joined on the score sheet by Monreal, Lacazette, and Alexis who scored his first of the season in the league.

It was confirmed by Sean Dyche following Burnley's defeat at the hands of Manchester City that Sam Vokes was absent from the squad due to an abdominal strain.

Vokes was on hand at the Etihad and it appears the injury is not serious, as it was not discussed prior to the game and Dyche didn't imply the striker would be missing further time. That may put him in contention to start next weekend's match against Newcastle, as the extent of Chris Wood's hamstring injury is yet unknown. Ashley Barnes provides a final option if needed, but their attack would be in much better shape if one Wood or Vokes is fit.

Sofiane Boufal dribbled three quarters of the field on his own and slotted home for the only goal as Southampton beat West Brom 1-0.

This match was an unlikely spot to yield a candidate for goal of the year but that's exactly what happened. The rest of the match was frenetic but ultimately lacking in quality end product. That was until Sofiane Boufal picked up an errant ball in his own half and dribbled through most of the West Brom defense leaving defenders on the ground in his wake. He slotted home from just outside the box for a must-see Winer for the struggling Saints.
