Ashley Williams has been ruled out of Swansea's Europa League tie against Kuban Krasnodar, and will be a major doubt for the visit of West Ham.

Williams still has pain in his ankle, and isn't expected back in training for a few days yet. He's even a doubt for the Swan's derby clash against Cardiff on 3 November. Jordi Amat will continue to partner Chico Flores in his absence.

Antonio Conte has confirmed Gary Cahill will miss Saturday's match against Brighton at the Amex.

The England central defender went off injured during the goalless with Leicester City last Saturday and missed the FA Cup replay against Norwich on Wednesday. Conte revealed prior to the FA Cup match that Cahill's hamstring problem was not serious, though the manager did not provide a potential return date in his pre-match press conference. Look for Andreas Christensen to replace Cahill in the starting XI, especially considering David Luiz played 120 minutes in the penalty-shootout win over Norwich.

Craig Cathcart's return will be delayed again as he picked up a new knee injury during his return from a longer-term layoff.

Injuries are everywhere at the back for Watford as Cathcart's regression has him back with Younes Kaboul, Kiko Femenia, and Miguel Britos among the walking wounded. Look for the Hornets to persist with Christen Kabasele and Sebastian Prodl at the back while waiting to see how they might line-up with all of their defensive options actually healthy.

Tom Cleverley is dealing with a hamstring injury that could see him miss out on Watford's trip to Leicester City on Saturday.

Marco Silva's midfield has been particularly hard-hit with injuries with Cleverley potentially joining Will Hughes and Nathan Chalobah in missing the match. While none of those are star names they, along with Abdoulaye Doucoure, represent Watford's best chances of creating chances from the center of the park. Those wondering why the Hornets have fallen off in recent months can look at the injury list that also includes a number of key defenders. The margins are thin in the middle of the table and the rash of injuries seems to have pushed the Hornets from surprise package to strugglers.

Ryan Shawcross leads a list of recently injured Stoke City players who have returned to training ahead of the visit of Huddersfield Town in Week 24.

Shawcross is joined by injury-returnees Glen Johnson, Erik Pieters, and Geoff Cameron as Paul Lambert must figure out who among his defensive options is best suited to stem the tide of goals the Potters have allowed this season. Given the process of returning to full match fitness and uncertainty of how the new manager has evaluated his new charges attempting to divine a starting line-up for Saturday is a challenge if not entirely impossible. What is reasonable is that Huddersfield Town at least represent an opponent who could, plausibly, be had. It is unfortunate that fantasy managers don't have more insight into who might start outside of obvious candidates like Shaqiri, Allen, and Fletcher.

It has been an on-again, off-again (but mostly off-again) season for Glen Johnson but he is back from a knee injury and could feature in Paul Lambert's debut as Stoke City manager.

Johnson last featured in late-October and that was only a 58 minute attempt to return after missing out on the previous three weeks. Overall, he has only managed to start two Premier League matches out of the first 23 and come off the bench in a further one. Given the Potters' lack of a proven alternative at right back, the presence of a Premier League veteran is, at the very least, some insurance against the development of newly arrived Moritz Bauer. Who Paul Lambert ultimately favors remains to be seen but Bauer's initial participation has been more down to lack of alternatives rather than him making the spot his own.

Newly arrived Kostas Stafylidis will not figure against Huddersfield Town as he spends time improving his fitness against a future debut.

With Erik Pieters returning from injury, it was unlikely that Stafylidis was going to start even if fully fit but the Augsburg loanee isn't fully fit and will, therefore, have to wait to prove himself to his new manager and teammates. The Greece international is a left back and the Potters need depth at the position with Pieters having been in and out of the line-up without an experienced deputy. For now though, Stafylidis should be considered unlikely to make much of an impact.

Craig Dawson, fresh off scoring on his return to the starting line-up, faces a late fitness check ahead of West Brom's trip to Goodison Park.

The center back is expected to pass his test but it is worth pointing out that he is not a certain starter for Alan Pardew. It would be a shame if he weren't able to participate as Pardew is presumably eager to retain the same line-up that saw him pick up his first win as West Brom manager and the club's first win since August. Ahmed Hegazi faces a similar situation where he is expected to feature but isn't 100% certain with a minor injury.

Jordan Henderson is back training for Liverpool after missing a month with a hamstring injury.

Henderson went down a few days before Christmas, missing a busy stretch of the season where the Reds have also been making personnel moves. Emre Can has started regularly in the absence of the England international, doing well in the process. Can is linked with a move away from Anfield this month which would clear a path for Henderson, but Can may have the upper hand for now until he gives Jurgen Klopp a reason to make the switch. Odds are, Henderson will be back in the XI, but it may take a few games beforehand.

Laurent Koscielny and Nacho Monreal are both available again after missing out on Arsenal's initial matches in 2018.

Whether Arsene Wenger brings both first choice center backs immediately into the line-up to face Crystal Palace on Saturday at the Emirates is the only real question here. Both Koscielny and Monreal have trained ahead of the match and should be healthy. Rob Holding and Calum Chambers, the two deputies leaned on in the absence of Wenger's first choice options, were both shaky at times so unless Wenger feels like one or both of his main men are short of match fitness or risk for re-injury, the expectation should be that both will start.

Nacho Monreal has returned to the Arsenal squad from the ankle injury that kept him out since late December.

Monreal's ascension as a first choice center back has certainly been one of the surprises of the past year-plus of the Premier League. Despite the unexpected nature of the switch, Monreal has been an important cog in Arsenal's move to a 3-man center back formation allowing more freedom to the wing backs and relying less on Granit Xhaka to be a defensive stalwart. Monreal's return should aid the Gunners as they look to rebound from a difficult start to 2018.

Mesut Ozil had a strong run of form interrupted by a knee injury but could be back for the visit of Crystal Palace on Saturday but the words Wenger used in his press conference were hardly unequivocal.

Whereas the language used to discuss Laurent Koscielny and Nacho Monreal indicated a strong likelihood that both would be available on Saturday and likely starting, the language around Mesut Ozil was slightly less certain. This may be splitting hairs to some extent but the feeling coming out of the press conference is that if the two center backs are 90% likely to feature, Ozil might be something more on the order of 75% likely. If you're playing the odds then expect all three to start. If you are risk averse or have other options (from a fantasy point of view) then maybe be a bit more conservative with Ozil.
