Sergio Aguero scored twice as Manchester City came from behind to beat CSKA Moscow and reignite their Champions League Group D campaign.

These were Aguero's eighth and ninth goals of the season and sealed a massive Champions League victory for City. The Argentinian forward is in the same form that helped the club win the Premier League title two seasons ago and looks like the man capable of leading another challenge this campaign. David Silva was also impressive and Joe Hart made a vital save in the closing stages as Manuel Pellegrini's men ran out 2-1 winners.

Manchester City will have a fully fit Sergio Aguero available for the weekend trip to Leicester City after a mid-week scare.

The Argentina striker was forced off at half-time of the country's friendly with Nigeria during the week due to a dizzy spell and was taken to the hospital for precautionary reasons. However, manager Pep Guardiola confirmed that Aguero has returned to the club, trained, and has been cleared for the weekend match. "He arrived two days ago and the doctor says he’s perfect," Guardiola said. He was conscious all the time in Argentina and he’s okay. Nothing to be worried about." However, the club will be without another Argetine with Nicolas Otamendi out serving a suspension.

The Liverpool Echo is reporting that Joel Matip is "almost certain" to miss Saturday's match against Southampton as the defender is dealing with a thigh problem.

The news came late in the evening from Merseyside, so fantasy owners who thought Matip was OK following Jurgen Klopp's initial press conference may be waking up to some unfortunate news. Actually, owners of any Liverpool defenders will feel Matip's loss, as the Echo projects Dejan Lovren to take Matip's place. Lovren has had a nightmare season but has a chance to get on the right track against his former club if Klopp indeed turns to him. The manager does have alternatives though. With a solid defensive record at home and playing a Saints side with a struggling attack, this looked to be one of the more bankable clean sheet matchups this weekend. The fact that Matip is "unlikely to be risked" suggests that the Cameroon international will be in contention for next weekend.

Jose Mourinho made a shock announcement on Friday with Zlatan Ibrahimovic set to return today against Newcastle.

Just days after saying he expected Ibrahimovic back before the end of 2017, Mourinho confirmed in his pre-match press conference on Friday that the Swedish legend will be on the bench to face Newcastle today just seven months after suffering an ACL injury that required surgery and a long-term layoff. It's a remarkable turnaround for a 36-year-old who will now put pressure on Romelu Lukaku's starting spot. Said Mourinho: "As a start, I see him on the bench and it's where I see him. It's where he's going to be tomorrow [Saturday], on the bench."

Crystal Palace fans and fantasy owners will be pleased to know another attacking option is back, although Ruben Loftus-Cheek might be ruled out.

The Chelsea loanee suffered a back injury during the international break and will be a late decision ahead of Crystal Palace's match with Everton today. However, Christian Benteke will be a welcome sight on the Palace bench after missing the last two months with a knee injury. Said manager Roy Hodgson: "We are assessing Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who has a back spasm, but he hasn’t trained today and we probably won’t know until tomorrow or even on Saturday...We hope Christian can play a big part for us now going forward but it must be remembered he hasn’t played for seven weeks but it’s good because he is physically fit to play and I certainly don’t see it as a risk playing him."

Following on from Friday’s press-conference, highly respected journalist Miguel Delaney, believes Jose Mourinho is set to make a surprise call ahead of the late game with Newcastle.

The chief football writer for the Independent newspaper claims the Special One will hand Paul Pogba and Marcos Rojo an instant recall. Speaking yesterday, Mourinho was keen to stress the importance of Pogba and his influence during the early part of the season: "You can clearly see before Paul’s injury and after. There are qualities in our football, there are qualities that influence our approach in matches with Pogba and without Pogba - it's as simple as that." The £89 million midfielder has missed the last two months due to a hamstring problem, but Mourinho will be hoping Pogba can hitting the ground running as United’s form has faltered of late. However, it would be the inclusion of Rojo which will shock most. The Argentina defender played 45 minutes for the Reserves on Wednesday, his first competitive game since suffering a knee ligament injury back in April.

Shkodran Mustafi returned to the Arsenal line-up with a goal and some stout defending as Arsenal beat bitter rivals Spurs 2-0 for a key North London Derby win.

The German defender had been a question mark heading into the match. Arsene Wenger will feel fortunate that the World Cup winner passed his late fitness test as he scored the opening goal from a Mesut Ozil free kick. After Alexis Sanchez extended the first half lead to 2-0 it was Mustafi, along with Laurent Koscielny and Petr Cech, who provided the defensive heroics as Arsenal closed out a scoreless second half. Mustafi's goal is certainly a one-off but with the German back, Arsenal's defense should promise clean sheet points going forward.

Harry Kane and Dele Alli were both questionable with injuries and their lack of full sharpness showed as Arsenal were the better side in Arsenal's 2-0 North London Derby win.

The narrative ahead of the match was the growing talent gap between Spurs and Arsenal as well as the "revolution" that Mauricio Pochettino has effected as his counterpart's revolution fades from memory. Arsenal's 2-0 win to kick off Week 12 in the Premier League doesn't necessarily change the narrative but puts it on hold. Spurs will take solace in the fact that their best attacking players - Kane and Alli - were both shy of their best. Expect both to rebound starting with Week 13.

Shkodran Mustafi faces a late fitness test ahead of Saturday's North London Derby as the German international races to be fit for a crucial match.

It seems unlikely that Mustafi would be rushed back, presumably at least somewhat short of match fitness/sharpness, for such a crucial contest. While, at full fitness, he would be a first choice player in Arsene Wenger's eleven, sharpness will be paramount as Arsenal look to upset their recently dominant north London rivals. Look for Koscielny, Mertesacker, and Monreal to feature in the center with Kolasinac and Bellerin on the flanks. Maybe Mustafi features as a late-match sub if Wenger needs to shut the match down with a narrow lead.

Danny Welbeck is close to being recovered from his hamstring injury but expect him to play no more than a substitute role against Spurs given the uncertainty of his participation.

Given that Arsene Wenger was uncertain enough about Welbeck's status to indicate that he was facing a late fitness check, it is reasonable to expect that the forward will not be in the starting eleven for the match against Spurs on Saturday to kick off Week 12 in the Premier League. If fully healthy, Welbeck would probably have a spot in Wenger's eleven as he has favored high-energy performers like the England international against big opposition. Given the uncertainty though, you should probably hold Welbeck out of fantasy line-ups unless you can make decisions after line-ups are announced an hour ahead of the match starting.

Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Olivier Giroud will miss Arsenal's Saturday clash with Spurs while he recovers from a thigh injury picked up on international duty.

The France international has been infrequently used by Arsene Wenger in the Premier League so, on the face of it, this isn't a big announcement as Arsenal face off with rival Spurs at the Emirates in Week 12 action. The reason it is noteworthy is that Danny Welbeck is also questionable for the match as he recovers from his own injury and Wenger has been reluctant to use Alexandre Lacazette in matches against "big" opponents. This could lead to Wenger starting Alexis Sanchez centrally with Alex Iwobi and Mesut Ozil flanking him or to Lacazette taking the central post with Sanchez and one of Ozil/Iwobi opposite the Chilean.

Nacer Chadli will definitely miss the Week 12 visit of Chelsea and fears in the West Brom camp are that he could miss a number of weeks beyond that.

Chadli returned to the starting line-up in mid-October after an injury kept him from starting the season in contention for playing time. His return to the line-up was short-lived as he has now been felled by a hip injury that threatens to keep him out for multiple weeks. The injury will likely mean more time for one or both of Salomon Rondon or Matthew Phillips. With Chelsea the opponent in Week 12, expect Tony Pulis to go even more defensive than usual with his line-up so expect only one of the two attackers this time out with Rondon probably favored for his ability as a target man holding up play as Albion's many center backs hoof clearances up the field looking for relief from Chelsea attacks.
