Aaron Ramsey is back in training and in the squad for the trip to Bournemouth on Sunday the 14th.

Whether Arsene Wenger deems the Wales international ready to return to the starting eleven is another question entirely, and one that Wenger didn't answer explicitly in his Friday news conference. With both Jack Wilshere and Ramsey coming off of injuries and both listed as "returning" it is reasonable to expect that selection could go either way for the Gunners this weekend. It is probably wise not to count on either player if you have to make a decision before starting line-ups are announced.

Huddersfield Town has completed the signing of Adama Diakhaby from French side AS Monaco for an undisclosed fee.

The 22-year-old, a former France Under-21 international, has put pen to paper on a three-year deal. A left-footed forward who can play on either wing on in the central attacking midfielder role, Diakhaby scored two goals and tallied three assists in 22 Ligue One appearances for Monaco last season. He becomes Town's fifth signing of the summer, joining Ben Hamer, Ramadan Sobhi, Juninho Bacuna, Erik Durm and Terence Kongolo at the John Smith's Stadium. Said David Wagner: "Diakhaby is a direct player who is comfortable with the ball at his feet and with genuine pace, which suits our style perfectly. We’re really looking forward to working with him on the training pitch and seeing him pull on our blue and white shirt in games, as I’m sure our fans are too!"

Leicester City have completed the signing of goalkeeper Danny Ward from Liverpool for a fee of £12.5 million.

The 25-year-old leaves Anfield just a day after Liverpool signed AS Roma goalkeeper Alisson for a fee of £65m. Following the departure of Ben Hamer for Huddersfield Town this summer, Ward arrives to bring competition to Leicester's goalkeeping ranks as he joins fellow keepers Kasper Schmeichel and Eldin Jakupović. The Welsh international is expected to serve as the understudy of Schmeichel, though he could be thrust into the first-choice role if the Dane was to leave amid interest from Chelsea and Roma. Speaking to LCFC TV, Ward said: "I’m delighted to be here and I’m really looking forward to the future with this Football Club. I’ve come here to develop my all-round game and hopefully help deliver some more success. The Club has had that in recent years and hopefully there’s more to come in the future."

Liverpool continue to stock up world class talent this summer, and their latest addition may be the key to their aspirations as they sign AS Roma goalkeeper Alisson for a fee of £65m.

The Reds have already turned heads with the acquisition of midfielders Naby Keita and Fabinho, along with winger Xherdan Shaqiri, but with Alisson, they address their most important need. The keeper position has been a thorn in the club's side since the departure of Pepe Reina four years ago, with Simon Mignolet and, more recently, Loris Karius falling short of expectations. It is a clear statement of intent by the club that they are gunning for a title this season. If the defense can tighten up with steady work from Alisson between the sticks, they just might make a push. Conversely, anything outside a top four finish with this squad would be a major disaster.

Liverpool expect Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to miss the majority of 2018/19 and insist that any competitive play next season would be a ‘bonus’.

The former Arsenal midfielder was just beginning to establish himself at Anfield when he injured his knee during the Champions League win over AS Roma in April. Oxlade-Chamberlain underwent surgery 8 days later but details of the injury were never revealed publicly, and as such, there had been no definitive timeline on a potential return to play until now: "It feels like an appropriate time to tell people that for Ox this coming season will be about focusing on recovery and rehab," manager Jurgen Klopp told Liverpoolfc.com. "We have known this from pretty much the day after he got the injury and after the successful surgery, we were sure of it. There has been no change, no setback – it’s exactly on the schedule we expected and planned for." Liverpool have already been active during the transfer window and followed up the signings of Fabinho and Naby Keita with the capture of Swiss international Xherdan Shaqiri from Stoke.

New Manchester United signing Diogo Dalot will miss the start of the season after undergoing surgery to repair meniscus damage in his right knee.

The 19-year-old has been sidelined since suffering a training ground injury back in April, but Jose Mourinho didn’t want to risk missing out on the highly-rated defender. "Dalot is injured; we knew that but we didn't want to lose him because of that," revealed the United boss. "He is recovering really well. He will not be ready for the start of the season but we think he'll be ready for September." Dalot cut his teeth playing for Porto B before finally making his first senior start in February, a 5-1 thrashing of minnows Portimonense, in which he provided two-assists. Coach Sergio Conceicao kept faith in the versatile full-back a week later for the top-of-the-table clash with Sporting Lisbon, and he didn't disappoint, starring in the 2-1 win. Dalot impressed the onlooking United scouts just days later as Porto played out a goalless draw in the Champions League at Anfield.

Heung-Min Son is poised to miss the start of the 2018/19 Premier League campaign after he was selected as one of three over-age players to represent South Korea at the upcoming Asian Games.

The tournament begins on August 14, and with Son set to join his international team-mates prior, he’s likely to be absent for Spurs’ opening four games of the season – Newcastle, Fulham, Manchester United and Watford. Although there has been no agreement for the release of Son, Mauricio Pochettino is expected to reluctantly allow the 26-year-old to represent his country as winning the Games would guarantee the South Korea star exemption from 21-months of national service, which is due to begin in 2020. Tottenham are already sweating on the availability of up-to nine first-team players who were involved in the final weekend of the World Cup finals. The likes of Harry Kane, Kieran Trippier, Dele Alli and Hugo Lloris all featured prominently for their respective countries in Russia and face a race against time to be ready for the opener when they return from their extended break.

The Premier League has been well-represented in a leaked version of FIFA’s World Cup team of the tournament.

Almost half, five, of the starting XI came from sides within the English top-flight, and, as always, the results were the cause of much debate. Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris managed to edge out Golden Glove winner [most clean sheets] Thibaut Courtois while two England stars were included, but probably ‘not’ the duo you would have expected to see. Ashley Young scooped the award for best left-back with international team-mate Kieran Trippier earning the honours on the opposite flank. Surprisingly, there was no Harry Maguire as France centre-back Raphael Varane (fair enough) partnered Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren(!), go figure. N’Golo Kante was somehow overlooked following a string of excellent performances with the decidedly average Paulinho chosen in the holding role alongside Player of the Tournament Luka Modric. Chelsea playmaker Eden Hazard made up the Premier League contingent for his contribution in helping Belgium secure third-place.

Manager Manuel Pellegrini has hailed the "new dimension" club-record signing Felipe Anderson will bring to West Ham United's attack.

The highly touted 25-year-old joined West Ham last week in a deal worth up to £47 million with add-ons, shattering the previous record £22 million signing of defender Issa Diop earlier this month. A technically gifted winger with an eye for goal, Anderson arrives having supplied 34 goals and 42 assists in 177 appearances during a five-year spell at Lazio. Priced at 7.0m in FPL, Anderson represents an exciting option with Manuel Lanzini out injured. The Brazilian was involved in a goal for Lazio every 104 minutes last season, scoring seven goals and adding nine assists in 1,670 minutes. "Felipe has a very natural and skilful ability, in the traditional style of Brazilian football, but has proven at Lazio that he also has the strength and mentality to play at the top level in European football," said Pellegrini.

Jannik Vestergaard returned home from World Cup duty with Denmark having failed to make an appearance and promptly signed for Southampton a few days ago.

The 6ft 6in centre-back has signed a four-year deal at St. Mary's, becoming their record transfer in the process at approximately £18 million ($23.6m). The 24 year-old arrives from Bundesliga outfit Borussia Monchengladbach, for whom he made 79 appearances in two seasons including run-outs in the Champions League and Europa League. Given his height, it's not a shock that Vestergaard is renowned for his aerial ability - he won 90 aerial duels in the German top flight last term, a 60% success rate. 90 is the 13th best tally of all players in that division. The Dane also topped the league for blocked shots (35) and was 7th for clearances (146). His 3 defensive errors placed him 19th for that unfortunate tally but just one led to a breakthrough for the opposition.

Early in July, Brighton announced the signing of Bernardo from RB Leipzig on a four-year deal which set the club back a reported £9m.

The Brazilian is a utility player, who can play on both the left and right side of the defence. Last season at Leipzig he was predominantly used on the left, with 15 of his 18 league outings coming on that side. He usually started for them though a string of appearances would be interrupted by a one game drop to the bench. In 27 total appearances last term, Bernardo notched up just a single goal and assist, suggesting that fantasy managers should not be rushing to include him in their gameweek one sides.

Southampton's new midfielder Mohamed Elyounoussi joins the club with a formidable record from his time in Norway and Switzerland.

The 23 year-old started his senior career in Norway at Sarpsborg before signing for one of the country's biggest clubs, Molde. At Molde, he scored 42 goals in 92 appearances. Elyounoussi then moved to Basel where he spent two seasons. It proved to be a great incubator for the player, as he got Champions League experience and put in performances which attracted the interest of clubs as big as Arsenal. For Basel he had 23 goals and 30 assists in 84 games. "I'm at my best when I use my creativity, so I think the club's philosophy will suit me," said the player when he signed. He could be a vast improvement on the departed Dusan Tadic for 6.5m in the Official Fantasy PL game this season.
