Carlos Carvalhal believes Luciano Narsingh could be available for the Manchester City clash despite limping off against Everton.

The Dutchman was handed his first Premier League start of 2018 on Saturday, but was forced off at half-time through injury. Narsingh went down under a challenge from Morgan Schneiderlin which went unpunished by referee Lee Mason: "Luciano twisted his ankle," Carvalhal confirmed. "It doesn’t look too serious, but we must wait 48 hours and then we will see exactly what was happened." Meanwhile, Sam Clucas, who was ruled out of game week thirty-four, should be back in contention: "He had a kick and he twisted the knee [but] if you look at the way he recovered after Manchester United, then we can expect he will be ready." The Swansea boss also confirmed that Mike van der Hoorn will be better placed to start after settling for a place on the bench the previous weekend. The centre-back had be cleared to resume full training two days earlier following a shoulder injury.

Liverpool will have to check on the status of Joel Matip and Trent Alexander-Arnold after leaving with injuries on Tuesday.

Liverpool put together a valiant effort in a 1-0 win against Napoli to advance to the Champions League knockout stages on Tuesday with Mohamed Salah scoring the winning goal. But Trent Alexander-Arnold left the game in the finals minutes with a knock while James Milner came off with a cramp. Meanwhile, manager Jurgen Klopp confirmed that defender Joel Matip is undergoing scans on a shoulder injury that could thin the club's defensive ranks even further. "Trent got a knock on his foot, we are not sure about what exactly it is. It is painful," Klopp said. "Millie [Milner] had cramps - I hope it was only cramp. That was it, I don't know anything else."

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola confirmed that Sergio Aguero has a chance to be fit for the coming weekend.

The star forward missed all three Premier League games last week due to a muscle injury as Gabirel Jesus filled in but failed to score a goal. While Aguero has been ruled out of the club's final Champions League group stage match on Wednesday with Hoffenheim, Aguero is pushing to be available to face Everton this weekend. "Silva not able, Kevin not able, Danilo not able, Sergio isn't ready," Guardiola said in the club's pre-match press conference. "[Silva will be out for] a few weeks. Last game he was substituted, not too big but he stops for a few weeks. Maybe he [Aguero] has a chance for the weekend."

Pep Guardiola confirms David Silva will be sidelined for a "few weeks" after tests confirm the Spanish star suffered a hamstring strain during the loss at Stamford Bridge.

The 32-year-old has been in exemplary form this season, but this setback threatens to keep him of the City line-up until the turn of the year. In a rare off day, Silva struggled to get to grips with the game on Saturday as Chelsea inflicted the Citizens first league defeat of the season. Silva was replaced on 68 minutes indicating a problem with his right hamstring, but speaking after the game, team-mate Phil Foden offered some hope by suggesting Silva had said that the muscle was "tight" and nothing too serious. However, subsequent tests have revealed the injury is a little worse than initially thought. "In the last game he was subbed," said Pep ahead of the Champions League. "It was a muscular problem but he'll be stopped for a few days, a few weeks."

Eddie Howe is hopeful of having Callum Wilson back amongst the ranks this weekend despite the Bournemouth boss admitting his top scorer has a "grade one hamstring injury."

The England international has proved to be this season’s go-to budget option in attack - over 39 per cent FPL ownership - and Wilson hasn’t disappointed, delivering a massive 92-pts for a measly £6m starting price. Of course, his 8-goals and eight assists from 15 appearances have resulted in a hefty hike, but £7m for an attacker who sits just behind Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang overall is an absolute steal. So, his absence in the early kick-off hit a lot of managers hard. There had been no indication prior and no mention during Fridays pre-match press conference. Rumours began to circulate around 30 minutes before the deadline, chatter which proved to be well-placed once the team news was confirmed. "I don't think his injury is going to be long-term. He's got a grade one hamstring injury, so we'll try to get him fit for Wolves," Howe confirmed post-match.

There are growing concerns in Australia that Huddersfield Town star Aaron Mooy could miss the Asian Cup after picking up a knee injury during the 1-0 loss at Arsenal.

Although there has been official update, reports from the southern hemisphere say that Mooy suffered a medial ligament injury at the Emirates which puts his involvement in the tournament, beginning on 6 January, in doubt. The availability of the 28-year-old could be pivotal to Huddersfield’s survival hopes and with an initial timeline of six weeks suggested, Mooy could miss up-to ten Premier League matches. David Wagner will also carry out assessments on three other players, two of whom – Tom Smith and Jonathan Hogg – were forced off with serious looking muscular injuries. The third, Terence Kongolo is hopefully just suffering from a knock. The Terriers welcome Philip Billing back into the squad for the game with Newcastle United on Saturday, but Steve Mounie [suspended] and Abdelhamid Sabiri [shoulder] will definitely miss the game.

Lucas Digne scored his first Everton goal in second half stoppage time to draw Everton level with Watford to close out Week 16.

It looked like Ben Foster's save of Gylfi Sigurdsson's penalty was going to prove to be the difference between Macro Silva's old side and his new one. One of Silva's summer signings came to the rescue though as former Barcelona man Lucas Digne scored on a set piece deep into stoppage time. The goal drew Everton even and that final scoreline flattered Everton slightly after they had been outplayed by the visitors for much of the match.

Abdoulaye Doucoure scored again but Watford couldn't quite close out a win against former manager Marco Silva and had to settle for a 2-2 draw.

After going his first fourteen Premier League matches of the season without scoring, it has been two in two matches for the Watford central midfielder. Last season was absent significant goal or goalless streaks as Doucoure took a massive leap forward from afterthought to certain starter. His slow start to the season likely had fantasy managers bailing out but his revival should have him in consideration as a bench player with only Chelsea on Boxing Day presenting daunting opposition for Javi Gracia's side over the next month and a half.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp confirmed that winger Sadio Mane will be available to face Napoli on Tuesday.

The Reds are in a must-win scenario tomorrow at Anfield and will need to win 1-0 or by two goals to advance to the Champions League knockout stages. But after playing 20 minutes off the bench this weekend against Bournemouth, Sadio Mane looks to be back from a foot injury that limited him in the past week, although Klopp said that he will likely have to play through pain: "Sadio can deal with the pain obviously – it looked like that in Bournemouth, so that’s cool. It’s good enough that we can consider him at least. We have two sessions still to come – we’ll train tomorrow morning as well. That’s very important. We have the meeting to do. In the squad there is nothing really serious after the game, that’s good."

Dejan Lovren has a chance to return to boost the Liverpool defense on Tuesday in the final group stage match.

The center-half has missed all three Premier League matches last week due to a concussion but it pushing for a return to action this week, starting with a massive must-win Champions League game on Tuesday against Napoli. With Joe Gomez also out, Joel Matip has filled in along the backline but Lovren's return would surely be welcomed in a week where manager Jurgen Klopp must prepare for Napoli and Manchester United. "We will see how Dejan is doing," Klopp said. "Yesterday he was out on the pitch and looked quite well. Can he be part of training today or not? We will see that. Squad-wise, [there is] no bad news at least."

Tottenham may have to rely on Kyle Walker-Peters to face Barcelona in their Champions League decider due to injuries to their top two right-backs.

That's because Serge Aurier had to leave the club's win over Leicester City on Saturday with a groin injury and he has already been ruled out for the midweek trip to Spain, where the club will need some points with Inter Milan tied with Spurs and set to face last-place PSV Eindhoven. Said manager Mauricio Pochettino: "Serge is going to have a scan today, he’s going to be out. We think it’s a small problem. We assessed him yesterday but we need to confirm that with the scan. We hope it’s not going to be a big issue and that he’s back as soon as possible." Meanwhile Kieran Trippier remains out with a groin injury as he undergoes an individual training program. But at least the club will have Erik Lamela back from injury to face the Spanish champions.

Wolverhampton Wanderers had the benefit of a man advantage for a large portion of the match, but it took four minutes into second half stoppage time to find a winner, as they defeated Newcastle United, 1-2.

It was a very entertaining affair from start to finish, as Wolves came in this evening with a couple of key starters getting rested in Raul Jimenez and Joao Moutinho. After both sides stated early intent of threatening to score, Wolves went ahead in the 17th minute as Diogo Jota scored for the second time in as many games, as he chested a Heider Costa cross before beating the helpless keeper. Newcastle would get a deserved equalizer but a red card shown to DeAndre Yedlin early in the second half gave Wolves license to control the match and, after much patience, scored at the death when Jota sprinted into a shooting position, but his blocked attempt was followed up by a Matt Doherty header.
