David Silva confirms he can finally take his son, Mateo, home for the first time having spent five long months in hospital.

Mateo Silva was born prematurely in December 2017 which resulted in the Spanish play maker missing 4 of Manchester City’s five Premier League fixtures over the festive period due to ‘personal reasons’. Speaking at the time, Silva revealed his son was "fighting day by day" and City have given him special dispensation throughout the second half of the campaign to return home to at his sons bedside. Silva missed the final two games of the season after flying back to Valencia, but he offered an update on Tuesday confirming his good news via Instagram: "We’re finally going home!" he wrote alongside a picture of the staff who helped care for his son. "We will be eternally grateful for the amazing paediatric team and ICU units of the Hospital Casa de Salud for their professionalism and human treatment that they have shown us these 5 long months. Just thank you!"

Maurizio Sarri will leave a decision on Pedro’s involvement until the last-minute after he was helped off on Thursday night following an awkward fall deep into time added-on.

Chelsea will be looking to maintain their 100 per cent start to the season against London-rivals West Ham at the Olympic Stadium, but they may have to do it without the Spanish winger despite an encouraging post-match update from the Blues boss. "The problem is [his] shoulder, but I don't know exactly the situation," he said following the 1-0 win over POAK. "The doctor told me that probably it's not a very serious injury." Mateo Kovacic should be available despite limping off with a dead leg in the win over Cardiff City while Cesc Fabregas [knee] and Ruben Loftus-Cheek [shin] were included in the Europa League matchday squad. Davide Zappacosta is over his recent bout of illness and completed 90 minutes in Greece, but team-mate Emerson, who is suffering from a sore throat is considered a doubt.

Wilfried Zaha started and played a full 90 minutes despite sustaining a back/shoulder problem during the warmup.

During the warmup prior to the match, Zaha was escorted to the dressing room by the training staff while he held his back, just behind his neck. Zaha's news was the most noteworthy of the match, which ended in a 0-0 draw to give Aaron Wan-Bissaka and the Crystal Palace defense its second straight clean sheet.Palace had plenty of chances throughout the match and clearly looked the better side but Luka Milivojevic was unlucky to hit the post in 37th minute while Mamadou Sakho and James McArthur missed tap-ins in the final 10 minutes of the match that ended in a point for either team.

Burnley had easily their best performance of the season, exploding for four goals and keeping a clean sheet in an eye-opening 4-0 win over Bournemouth.

After struggling through the first month and change, Burnley had a coming out party today. Looking to find some goals up top, Sean Dyche handed Matej Vydra his first start and the move paid off with the striker grabbing the opening goal by sticking home a rebound of an Ashley Westwood shot. Two minutes later, it was 2-0 when Aaron Lennon found the net with a sliding half-volley from a Johann Berg Gudmundsson cross. Dyche made another smart move up top, introducing Ashley Barnes who would score a brace in four minutes, one from a rebound off the bar, another from a Lennon pass.

An own-goal, a Joel Matip header, and a poacher's finish sealed a 3-0 victory for Liverpool over Southampton on Saturday.

Liverpool were ahead after just ten minutes. Xherdan Shaqiri, a surprise starter in a line-up which included all of the usual front three, fired in a cross from the left which deflected off Shane Long and Wesley Hoedt into the net. Matip grabbed the second soon after, rising above Vestergaard to head in Trent Alexander-Arnold's corner. Salah made it three just before the break after he won the race to prod home a Shaqiri free-kick which hit the crossbar. Luck wasn't on Southampton's side on the day, but Liverpool were good value for their win when you take into account that Salah had a second goal disallowed.

AFC Bournemouth's positive start to the campaign came to a crashing halt after a sobering 4-0 loss at the hands of a rejuvenated Burnley side.

Two teams off to two very different starts saw their form shift drastically in the opposite direction and it was the Cherries who took the giant fall. It was a frustrating match to say the least, with very little in terms of quality chances created all afternoon, despite the Clarets allowing the visitors several opportunities to get the ball in dangerous areas. Only one attempt forced Joe Hart into a challenging save, and that came from a nice run by David Brooks who darted into the box before seeing his hard blast blocked. That would have cut a two goal deficit in half, instead the Cherries would concede twice more, putting a painful end to a long day.

Leicester City came from behind to beat Huddersfield Town 3-1 thanks to goals from Kelechi Iheanacho, James Maddison and Jamie Vardy.

Huddersfield Town jumped out to an early lead when Mathias Zanka poked home from close range after just five minutes. The rest of the match, though, belonged to Leicester. The Foxes levelled with a textbook counter-attacking goal from Iheanacho in the 19th minute and dominated possession in the second half. James Maddison, who scored in defeat last weekend, put the home side ahead in the 66th minute with an expertly taken free-kick from 25 yards. Jamie Vardy then capped off the scoring in the 75th with his second goal of the season, chipping Jonas Lossl after being sent through by Iheanacho. The victory sees Leicester move up into 10th place in the table, while Huddersfield remains in the relegation zone.

Fred's firat goal for Manchester United wasn't enough to earn all three points against Wolves at Old Trafford.

Yet again, Wolves put in an eye-catching performance and went into half-time with reason to be disappointed to be behind. Fred finished from inside the area after a great touch from Paul Pogba, but Wolves deserved a bit more. United were the better side in the second half but it was the visitors who struck back. Raul Jiménez teed up Joao Moutinho and the Portuguese fired his effort beyond the diving De Gea.

Manchester City bounced back from a disappointing Champions League loss to Lyon with a 5-0 win over Cardiff City.

But it was Riyad Mahrez who stole the show with two goals after coming in for Sergio Aguero in the 61st minute. Mahrez opened his Manchester City account in the Premier League in the 67th minute when he tapped in a low cross from Ilkay Gundogan, who recorded a goal and an assist himself, for a 4-0 lead. Mahrez made it 5-0 in the 87th minute with a beautiful curling effort for his second of a busy day, when City scored all their goals in the final 60 minutes of the match. Sergio Aguero started the scoring in the 32nd minute in his 300th appearance for Manchester City, while Bernardo Silva double the lead moments later with a looping header worth a replay.

Anthony Knockaert scored early in second half stoppage time but a second opportunity later in stoppage time that would have drawn Albion even with Spurs couldn't find the net as Brighton lost 2-1 to visiting Tottenham.

Anthony Knockaert was Chris Houghton's danger man for much of the match. He created and was on the receiving end of a number of opportunities against Tottenham. it wasn't until the first minute of stoppage time when he was able to get one past Spurs 3rd choice goalkeeper, Paulo Gazzaniga. Knockaert, who already has three assists on the season, could have added a second goal to his tally after dribbling in on goal his shot was to tame and Gazzaniga saved it comfortably to secure the win for Spurs.

Erik Lamela has returned to being a valuable reserve for Spurs after a season lost to injury last year as he scored his second goal as a substitute in as many matches.

Last weekend against Liverpool, Lamela struck late in stoppage time with a goal that salvaged pride and at least helped cause some inquests when Son looked to have been fouled in the box by Sadio Mane. This weekend, it was Lamela again who provided a goal from the bench. Approximately eight minutes after coming in for Son, the Argentine was put in by a Danny Rose cross and slotted home nicely for what would become a crucial goal when Anthony Knockaert scored for Brighton in stoppage time. If Lamela keeps scoring like this Mauricio Pochettino (and fantasy managers) will have even more trouble figuring out who will be supporting Harry Kane in the Spurs attack from week-to-week.

Aleksandar Mitrovic maintained his red-hot form, scoring a late goal to salvage a 1-1 draw against Watford at Craven Cottage.

It was a nightmare start for the Cottagers as changes were made once again to the defense and it looked to bite them as they were exposed inside of two minutes to give Watford the lead. Watford kept up the pressure, but Fulham were able to withstand it and finally started to push for an equalizer around the hour mark, with Mitrovic at the center of the action. The breakthrough would come in the 78th minute, when a loose ball was picked up by Luciano Vietto who did well to create space and set Mitrovic up for the redirect a couple yards in front of goal. The Serbian nearly found a winner moments later, but his header caromed out from under the bar. Mitrovic currently equals Eden Hazard for most goals in the league with five.
