Matt Doherty continued the stretch of dominance for Wolves' outside backs with the only goal of the match and a clean sheet

Wolves keep rolling the same line-up out and following the same script. The pre-season hype was for Jota, Neves, and Moutinho but it has been Jonny and Doherty with a sprinkle of Jiminez pushing Wolves to victory. It was Doherty from Jiminez early in the second half for the only goal of the match and then the defense, as has become the custom, shut the door for a nice road victory.

Johann Berg Gudmundsson, along with teammate Steven Defour, has been quoted by Sean Dyche as "touch and go" for the weekend trip to Tottenham.

Gudmundsson was forced off just after 70 minutes last weekend while Defour has missed the last two matches entirely. Defour had missed the first eight games of the season through injury, and given comparable options on hand for Dyche in central midfield, would figure to be an outside chance of starting. Gudmundsson, on the other hand, has been vital to the cause so Dyche may be more inclined to play the Icelandic international in a 50/50 call. It is not a matchup that has much fantasy promise for any of the Clarets.

Leicester City forward Jamie Vardy is set to return this weekend when the Foxes head to Selhurst Park.

The Leicester City talisman has not featured in the club's last two matches due to a groin injury, although he was enjoying great form with a goal in each of his previous two prior to the injury. But Claude Puel's side could only manage one goal without Vardy, who has been linked to a winter move to Chelsea. Meanwhile, Puel said that Ben Chilwell looks to be a doubt due to a knee injury. "We will see tomorrow about Ben Chilwell," the manager said. "He felt a pain in his knee, so we will see this week whether he can play. Jamie Vardy came back with the squad this morning (Thursday) and I think he will be in the squad this weekend. Harry Maguire was in the squad for the last game [against Tottenham Hotspur]."

Manchester City defender John Stones will be assessed after coming away with a knee injury on Wednesday.

The versatile defender started three games in the course of the last week but was taken off at half-time in the club's Champions League group stage finale against Hoffenheim. While manager Pep Guardiola said he doesn't expect the injury to be serious, the defending champions' injury list grows bigger with Fernandinho, Danilo and David Silva sustaining injuries this week. "John can play [at right back] because he did it against Shakhtar. He can do it but he didn't feel comfortable with his knee. It is not a big issue but he didn't feel comfortable so Kyle started to warm up immediately and we made the change at half-time. John Stones is not a full-back but I admire and appreciate the effort to try to do that."

Mesut Ozil and Laurent Koscielny have both returned to the starting line-up for Arsenal in their final group stage match in the Europa League on Thursday.

Unai Emery started what appeared to be a for more potent line-up than needed for a relatively meaningless Europa League match. Ozil is returning from back spasms and Koscielny is returning from an Achilles tear. With the Gunners already through to the knock-out stages, the inclusion of the duo is probably best described as adding sharpness ahead of the trip to Southampton on Sunday. Koscielny's ongoing health will be particularly important as Arsenal's center back situation is critical with Rob Holding definitely out, Shkodran Mustafi struggling with a hamstring injury, and Sokratis suspended.

Manchester City have committed fully to Academy product Phil Foden by rewarding him with a five-and-a-half-year contract.

With already three trophies under his belt, Foden is not committed to the Sky Blues through the summer of 2024. The 18-year-old has already made eight Premier League appearances this season, all off the bench, become a Pep Guardiola favorite in no time. Said sporting director Txiki Begiristain: "We are delighted to have secured Phil for the next five-and-a-half years. He is an outstanding talent and he is Manchester City born and bred, so this is where he wants to play his football. Under Pep and with the players we have here around him, he is in the best place possible to develop as a player."

Mesut Ozil has returned to training and is in contention to face Southampton on Sunday.

Rumors of the Arsenal creative midfielder's video gaming habits have grown to the extent of blaming his injury or at least aggravation of it on the game Fortnight. Ozil's account has been credited with thousands of hours of play and a physio has said it could lead to back issues. Consider Ozil questionable for the weekend.

Club-captain Tommy Smith has been ruled out until January after a scan confirmed he suffered a hamstring tear at the Emirates.

The Terriers put up a spirited performance before their resolve was finally broken with last than ten minutes remaining. David Wagner praised his side’s fight and admitted he was: "More than excited about the next games that we have in front of us." However, Huddersfield could be without up-to four of his starters from week 16 following a bruising encounter. Following on swiftly from the news that play maker Aaron Mooy will not feature again until February due to a knee ligament injury - Philip Billing could return to the side after his ban – right back Smith looks set to miss between 4-6 weeks with a muscular strain. The injury could see Wagner switch to a 3-5-2 formation with Florent Hadergjonaj coming in as a wing-back. Terence Kongolo (knee) and Jonathan Hogg (groin) are also being monitored day-to-day after picking up knocks last time out.

Laurent Koscielny will make his first senior start in more than seven months following his recovery from a ruptured Achilles tendon.

The Frenchman’s timely return will be welcomed by boss Unai Emery after seeing his defensive options decimated in recent games. Rob Holding is expected to miss up-to 9 months after suffering a serious knee ligament injury at Old Trafford while Shkodran Mustafi is struggling to shake off a niggling hamstring complaint. The German defender must also serve a one-match after accumulating five yellow cards. Dinos Mavropanos (groin) has been sidelined since August, although it is hoped that he could be back before the end of December. Arsenal travel to Southampton this weekend and with Stefan Lichtsteiner and Nacho Monreal the only fully fit, and experienced central defenders, Koscielny needs game time to improve sharpness. "We are going to decide after tomorrow’s match," Emery said on selecting his side for Sunday. "As it’s [Koscielny’s] first match with us, we are going to look also if he can play 90 minutes or less."

Liverpool's progression to the knockout phase of the Champions League came at a cost on Tuesday following injuries key players.

Trent Alexander-Arnold is being assessed after suffering a foot injury and the club are waiting on the results of his scan. However, the news on defensive team-mate Joel Matip, who could miss up-to nine games, comes as a blow and leaves the Reds defence looking a little stretched heading into a busy fixture period. Only last week Joe Gomez (lower leg fracture) was ruled out until early 2019 and now Matip will join him in the treatment room after tests confirm he suffered a broken collarbone. The defender fell awkwardly during the closing stages of the win over Napoli although it was initially thought that the problem was not serious. "Nobody told me anything about [Joel’s] shoulder, so hopefully that’s a good sign," revealed Jurgen Klopp post-match. However, Matip was taken to hospital, and a further assessment deemed an operation is required. Early indications suggest the centre-back is facing a spell of up to six weeks out.

Liverpool will have to check on the status of Joel Matip and Trent Alexander-Arnold after leaving with injuries on Tuesday.

Liverpool put together a valiant effort in a 1-0 win against Napoli to advance to the Champions League knockout stages on Tuesday with Mohamed Salah scoring the winning goal. But Trent Alexander-Arnold left the game in the finals minutes with a knock while James Milner came off with a cramp. Meanwhile, manager Jurgen Klopp confirmed that defender Joel Matip is undergoing scans on a shoulder injury that could thin the club's defensive ranks even further. "Trent got a knock on his foot, we are not sure about what exactly it is. It is painful," Klopp said. "Millie [Milner] had cramps - I hope it was only cramp. That was it, I don't know anything else."

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola confirmed that Sergio Aguero has a chance to be fit for the coming weekend.

The star forward missed all three Premier League games last week due to a muscle injury as Gabirel Jesus filled in but failed to score a goal. While Aguero has been ruled out of the club's final Champions League group stage match on Wednesday with Hoffenheim, Aguero is pushing to be available to face Everton this weekend. "Silva not able, Kevin not able, Danilo not able, Sergio isn't ready," Guardiola said in the club's pre-match press conference. "[Silva will be out for] a few weeks. Last game he was substituted, not too big but he stops for a few weeks. Maybe he [Aguero] has a chance for the weekend."
