Andros Townsend insists that he is not even thinking about the World Cup yet, despite a brilliant start to his England career.

Townsend was one of the few bright points to come out of the 1-0 loss to Germany on Tuesday as the fine start to his international career continued. It was noticeable that the winger was more reserved in his "shoot from everywhere" tactic which has crept in to his game for Spurs in recent matches, tending to pass or cross for a team mate instead. Townsend should start against Manchester City in Week 12 and it would be beneficial to Roberto Soldado if this change of approach continued, to provide the striker with a few more chances of his own.

Matteo Darmian will be missing for "several weeks" after Louis van Gaal confirmed the full-back had dislocated his shoulder following a first half collision with Sunderland midfielder Wahbi Khazri.

Darmian only returned to the United line-up at the beginning of February after recovering from a rib problem but his season now hangs in the balance following another injury. This latest setback leaves United with up-to seven defenders missing - Guillermo Varela, Marcos Rojo, Phil Jones, Luke Shaw, Ashley Young and Antonio Valencia - and the Reds may have to rely on youth for Thursdays' tricky Europa League tie against FC Midtjylland in Denmark. Cameron Borthwick-Jackson (19) is already covering in a patched up back four while Donald Love (21) made his Premier League bow in todays’ defeat on Wearside.

Seb Larsson could make his long awaited return to first team action in game week twenty-seven after Sam Allardyce confirmed the midfielder re-joined the group in training on Thursday.

Speaking ahead of his sides’ Premier League game with Man United at the Stadium of Light, the Sunderland boss revealed: "He obviously wasn’t going to be involved today. But he could be available for the West Ham game." Initial reports suggested Larsson would miss around a month but the Swede has taken a lot longer than originally anticipated after limping off against Stoke in November. The 30-year-old makes a timely return following the recent injuries to Duncan Watmore (ankle) and Jeremain Lens (hernia).

It looks like Troy Deeney's rest last weekend has paid dividends for Watford as the captain scored both goals in the club's 2-1 win against struggling Crystal Palace.

Watford recorded only its second win since mid-December thanks to Deeney, who secured his first tally of 2016. The first came early in the first half as he was pulled down to the turf by Mile Jedinak during a corner kick, drawing a penalty right in front of the referee. Deeney dispatched the penalty away from a diving Wayne Hennessey for his first-ever goal against Crystal Palace. After giving up an equalizer to Emmanuel Adebayor, Deeney saved the day with a scrappy goal in the 82nd minute after a poor Palace clearance dropped right to him in the middle of the penalty area. With the win, the Hornets move into eighth, just four points away from European qualification.

Dimitri Payet scored and assisted to help West Ham United earn a point against Norwich City today.

Payet was incredible once again, creating a number of chances and finishing one himself to help the Hammers get a point on the road. The midfielder was quiet early on, but an easy tap-in goal and a late super-performance helped him to a great fantasy day. West Ham are still in the conversation for a Europa League spot next season, while Norwich remain in the relegation zone.

Gianelli Imbula scored his first goal for Stoke City as the Potters finally got out of a scoring drought with a convincing 1-3 win over AFC Bournemouth.

Imbula isn't exactly known as a goal-scorer but he struck for Stoke's opener today, smashing home a volley from 18 yards out in the 9th minute after a poor attempted clearance by the Cherries. They would then score twice in the space of three minutes in the second half to build a 0-3 lead. Ibrahim Afellay curled a shot home after being teed up by Jon Walters in the 52nd minute follwed by a Joselu header scored thanks to a cross from Xherdan Shaqiri. Stoke then let Bournemouth back in with a quick goal, and the Cherries looked to threaten to cut it to one for a while, but the Potters hung on to the two goal cushion. Marc Muniesa had to be subbed off just before halftime due to injury, so there is some worry at the center back position as they wait for Ryan Shawcross to return.

It was not Everton's day at Goodison Park as the Toffees failed to score in a 1-0 loss to West Brom despite taking 34 shots on goal.

The Toffees paired that with 76 percent possession but could not find the back of the net with only six shots on target from the 34. Both Tom Cleverley and Ross Barkley hit the post on either side of halftime while Romelu Lukaku struggled to find the target throughout the match. The loss puts them back at square one after a pair of encouraging 3-0 wins gave the club a boost toward making a run up the table. Meanwhile, Bryan Oviedo continues to start over a healthy Leighton Baines after signing a new three-year contract. Tim Howard also returned to the squad but didn't come off the bench while John Stones missed out with injury.

Matt Ritchie made good on a rare day in which he was used as a substitute, scoring his third league goal of the season, but Stoke City had already built a comfortable lead and would defeat Bournemouth, 1-3.

Thought to be one of the most nailed on attacking players at the start of the season, Ritchie was dropped to the bench in favor of Junior Stanislas who started opposite Marc Pugh on the outside of the attacking midfield. The Cherries attack offered little in the first half however, with Benik Afobe looking especially off form. Ritchie was brought in to begin the second half, but his goal came shortly after the Potters had a 0-3 advantage. Still it was a nice half-volley that got Bournemouth back into the contest and they could have closed the gap but missed on finishing some nice setups by Josh King. Now four points above the drop zone, Eddie Howe and company might start sweating a bit with wins from Norwich and Sunderland today.

Wahbi Khazri is enjoying life with his new club as he directly attributed to both of Sunderland's goals to lift them to a 2-1 win over Manchester United.

Khazri was influential early and often. He would score the opener in the third minute, sending a free kick bouncing through a wall of opponents and finding the far corner. Manchester United would equalize in the 39th minute and by halftime, the Red Devils were dominating possession and looked the likelier side to find a winner. The second half was a different story though, as the Black Cats were threatening much more often. In the 82nd minute, Khazri lifted a corner kick into the box and was headed into the goal mouth by Lamine Kone. It would go down as a David de Gea own goal however, as the ball went in off of the keeper when Anthony Martial attempted to clear. It is a massive victory for Sunderland, who are now level with Norwich on points. Khazri looks a very attractive fantasy option as he has settled in quickly

Anthony Martial scored his seventh goal in league play this season but also played a hand in an own goal that would see Manchester United lose to Sunderland, 2-1, at the Stadium of Light.

United took a major blow to their chances of finishing in the top four with their loss today. They conceded early, but fought their way back into the match, enjoying the lion's share of possession until the halftime whistle. Their equalizer came courtesy of Martial, who dribbled into the area and sent a low pass to Juan Mata. Mata fired a shot on target, but the ball squirted loose and Martial was there to bang it home. They could not keep up the momentum in the second half however, and were hurt by the loss of Matteo Darmian, who dislocated his shoulder just before the Martial score. David de Gea made a couple of big saves but was the goat in the end as the Sunderland winner was credited as an own goal to the Red Devil keeper.

Week 26 will come too soon for Ryan Shawcross in his recovery from a significant back injury but he should be available for Week 27 in two weeks time.

Shawcross is close to a return but he won't quite be ready in time to feature for Mark Hughes as the Potters travel to Bournemouth for Week 26. The Potters have been slumping badly at both ends of the pitch having given up nine goals and scored none in their past three Premier League matches corresponding with Shawcross' absence. The Cherries should be favored in this one with Benik Afobe and Junior Stanislas both tipped for significant production.

Jon Walters was a late scratch with a virus last weekend but he should be available again for Week 26.

Mark Hughes will have to decide who he wants to start against the Cherries as he looks to break a four match goalless streak in the Premier League. The Potters last scored on January 13 in their 3-1 win against Norwich. Since then it has been nothing but goalless performances against Arsenal, Leicester City, Manchester United and Everton in the league and against Crystal Palace in the FA Cup. Bojan has been benched twice in that span but after the Barcelona product signed a new contract this week, he seems likely to get the start over Walters.
