Robin van Persie has a lingering toe injury that caused him to miss Holland's matches but is unlikely to cause him to miss time with United.

With Holland already having qualified for the World Cup, it wasn't crucial that van Persie play in the most recent friendlies. While it is unlikely that van Persie will miss out on the match in Cardiff it is worth at least alerting managers to the possibility however slight it might be.

Ashley Young has been impressive in the past two weeks, returning double digit fantasy scores in both.

Manchester United's attack is picking up steam and Young is getting involved enough to return good fantasy value. He only costs £ 8.56M and should continue getting playing time until some of Manchester's injured players return. Our analyst Galin Dragiev has recommended him in his Week 19 Player Picks.

There is a low chance of Chelsea midfielder Oscar being rested on Sunday.

The attacking midfielder played 80 minutes on Friday and was rested last weekend. At the same time, Willian and Eden Hazard haven't seen a day of in a while, especially Hazard, who hasn't missed a minute of Premier League football since mid-October. We would consider Oscar safe to play in fantasy on Sunday.

Pablo Zabaleta is likely to earn a start against Burnley tomorrow, making him a very good choice for fantasy managers.

Zabaleta was rested in Manchester City's Boxing Day match and he will likely be utilized in their home encounter against Burnley. With how bad Burnley have been on the road, Manchester City's clean sheet chances are the best of any match tomorrow, making Zabaleta an excellent fantasy choice. Aleksandar Kolarov is another good option to get into the City defense.

Ex-Chelsea striker Fernando Torres will make his move to AC Milan permanent on January 5th.

Torres has been on loan at AC Milan and will now finalize the move. There are rumors about him going to on-loan to Atletico Madrid, but either way he is not returning to the Premier League. He has been replaced by Diego Costa at Chelsea and there is no chance he is coming back anytime soon.

Laurent Koscielny and Hector Bellerin have resumed full training and could be called upon for the Week 19 trip to West Ham United.

With Arsene Wenger forced to employ makeshift defensive line-ups for much of the past few months, he will be excited at the prospect of having Koscielny back to start and Bellerin back as a reserve right back who might be able to keep pace with some of the Premier League's faster left wingers. Koscielny's status as a starter for the Week 19 trip to Upton Park is uncertain but he seems likely to at least be on the bench with a start possible.
Dec 27 - 1:51 PM

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who missed the Boxing Day visit of QPR, will be assessed ahead of the Sunday trip to West Ham.

Tomas Rosicky played well and scored a goal in his first Premier League start of the season but the Czech international's injury history would lead you to believe starting him twice in two days isn't a great idea. Arsene Wenger will likely revert to Oxlade-Chamberlain in the same role if he is fit enough to go. Unfortunately, the news on the Ox isn't definitive enough to select him in any fantasy format that has a deadline that passes before line-ups are announced.
Dec 27 - 1:55 PM

With Olivier Giroud suspended for Arsenal's next three matches Yaya Sanogo could get a start between Alexis Sanchez and Danny Welbeck.

Arsene Wenger will have multiple options to replace Giroud. Danny Welbeck could revert to a more central role where, truth told, he was more effective than he has been in Theo Walcott's wide right role. Wenger could also choose Yaya Sanogo who has recently returned from a hamstring injury suffered against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League. Welbeck seems certain to start either way but where he plays will be very influential on his potential value.
Dec 27 - 1:59 PM

Ryan Shawcross will be assessed for concussion issues to determine if he will be able to participate in the Potters' Week 19 match with West Brom.

Ryan Shawcross painted quite a picture in the Week 18 win over Everton after having his head bandaged after a clash with Romelu Lukaku. With Lukaku's old team West Brom arriving at the Britannia on Sunday, Shawcross will have to pass concussion protocols before being allowed to play. It is likely that the results of these protocols won't be known until after fantasy transfer deadlines for Yahoo.com and PL.com have passed.
Dec 27 - 2:03 PM

It has been a frustrating season so far for Luke Shaw with injuries but he is close to a return and could make the squad for the Week 19 trip to Spurs.

Ashley Young has been playing well in Shaw's absence and it sounds like Shaw isn't QUITE ready but it seems plausible that Shaw will make the bench ahead of a potential New Year's Day return. With Young playing well in his absence and Shaw having yet to show the sort of form that led to a huge transfer fee over the summer, it will be interesting to see how Louis Van Gaal utilizes the two players once both are healthy.
Dec 27 - 2:08 PM

Ander Herrera is reportedly close to full health again ahead of United's Week 19 trip to White Hart Lane and could make the bench.

Herrera is unlikely to start regardless of his health given the form of Mata and Rooney as United's attacking midfielders. Despite a big money move over the summer, Herrera has been injury-prone and not necessarily a first choice when he has been fit. With full fitness still a few days away, the question in Week 19 is whether he even makes the squad. With Juan Mata playing better it might be a short stay for Herrera at Old Trafford unless he's content with a reserve role and United are content to pay him to play one.

Crystal Palace Football Club can today confirm that Neil Warnock has been relieved of his duties and is no longer first-team manager.

And so we have out first Premier League managerial casualty of the season. Warnock joined Crystal Palace for a second time in August 2014, following the departure of Tony Pulis, but won just three of his 16 Premier League games in his second spell in charge, giving a win percentage of 18.8%. The 3-1 home defeat to Southampton put the Eagles in to the relegation zone and forced the club to act before things got any worse. Assistant manager Keith Millen will be in charge for the trip to Queens Park Rangers on Sunday but it is understood that Palace will begin their search for a permanent successor immediately. Tim Sherwood is one of the early favourites to take the role, with Pulis himself also mentioned, although the latter seems extremely unlikely.
