Angel Rangel limped off near the end of Swansea City's match with Valencia, getting treatment on the sideline until the final whistle with an apparent calf injury.

The severity of Rangel's injury has yet to be determined, but he must be considered a doubt for the Swans' trip to Manchester City this weekend. Dwight Tiendalli would likely deputize at right back should Rangel miss out. Investment in Swansea defense is not recommended this weekend.

Jamie Vardy will look to end his nine-match goal draught when Leicester City travel to Sunderland on Saturday.

Vardy, who hasn't scored for Leicester since September, should have multiple chances to end his goal drought come Saturday's must-win away fixture. Vardy has struggled to find the net this season, as he's scored just two goals through 11 league matches this campaign--the striker had 11 goals at this point last season. The English international will look to bounce back against Sunderland after he failed to register a shot on target in a 2-2 draw with Middlesbrough last weekend.

Chelsea will put their seven-match Premier League winning streak on the line when they travel to Manchester City on Saturday.

Chelsea have won seven consecutive matches and conceded just one since the change to a back three, while their success has also been linked to star midfielder Eden Hazard. Hazard has been directly involved on six of his club's 19 goals during their unbeaten streak, scoring five and adding one assist. Hazard has scored seven league goals from 18 shots on target this season, and enters Week 14 as the most fouled player in the Premier League (44). Hazard will have a vital role to play on Saturday at the Etihad Stadium, as Chelsea go in search of their eight consecutive win for the first time since 2010.

Younes Kaboul faces a late fitness check ahead of Watford's Week 14 trip to the Hawthorns.

With Craig Cathcart already ruled out due to injury and Miguel Britos suspended after picking up a 90th minute red card last weekend, a potential Kaboul absence could leave the Hornets thin along the back line this weekend. Sebastian Prodl will certainly start but it could be a makeshift partnership if Kaboul isn't fit to join him. Christian Kabasele, heavily criticized for taking too long to come on to the pitch for Kaboul last weekend, isn't in the squad which could further complicate things. This could be an opportunity for West Brom to exploit a depleted defense.

Glenn Whelan has recovered from a hamstring injury and should be fit to start against Burnley in Week 14 action.

Whelan isn't much of a fantasy factor himself but his value in the fantasy world is that his presence might allow Joe Allen to move further up the pitch where he has been very effective. Assuming that Mark Hughes starts the match this way, expect a great match from Allen in what is expected to be a Potters win.

Salomon Rondon will miss West Brom's Week 14 match at home against Watford after being diagnosed with tonsillitis this week.

The target forward will miss the Week 14 match which will probably result in Nacer Chadli being moved into a forward role against the Hornets. With James Morrison and Matt Phillips both playing well in attacking midfield roles the return of Chadli was already going to cause Tony Pulis to make some hard decisions with Rondon entrenched as the center forward. For Week 14, the path seems fairly straight forward with Chadli robust enough to take on Rondon's role. Beyond Week 14, the path becomes less clear.

Nacer Chadli is back and, due to Salomon Rondon's absence, could be moved up to a forward role against Watford this weekend.

For those who have been frustrated by Chadli's injury, consider this potential compensation for your patience. With Salomon Rondon out with tonsillitis and Saido Berahino still depressed/out of shape/out of favor, Chadli is the logical candidate to slot into the center forward role. It could be a nice fantasy return for the Belgian international.

Joe Allen has been a great story after moving to Stoke City but his fantasy value hinges significantly on where he plays on the pitch.

Joe Allen is back from suspension and a date against Burnley at the Britannia looks tantalizing from a fantasy point of view given the Clarets' struggles on the road. That said, Allen's fantasy value has been very much dependent on where Mark Hughes has deployed him on the pitch. When deployed as a "number ten" Allen has been prolific while a role at the base of midfield has meant significantly less interesting production. With Glenn Whelan back in training and reportedly fit, Allen could move back up front. It is only the uncertainty that makes him less than a sure-fire fantasy pick for Week 14.

West Ham United defender Arthur Masuaku is prepared to step into the starting XI for Saturday's London derby with Arsenal.

Masuaku returned from a two-months injury spell in Wednesday's EFL Cup defeat by Manchester United, and is in line to deputize for the injured Aaron Cresswell against Arsenal. Masuaku, who started the first five league matches with Cresswell unavailable through injury, told West Ham's official website he is ready to once again step up. "We lost Michail Antonio and Cressy through injury [on Wednesday] and that makes things more difficult," said the 23-year-old defender, who debuted in the London derby at Chelsea in August. "I hope that we are going to beat Arsenal on Saturday and that is my only target."

Middlesbrough defender Dani Ayala could feature in Monday's fixture with Hull City, according to manager Aitor Karanka.

Ayala, who has missed the last four league matches through injury, could make his return this week. "Dani is training with the team and he is ready, it’s just my decision," manager Aitor Karanka said. "I have to take it all in and we will see." This is good news for Middlesbrough as they will most likely be without fullback George Friend for Monday's fixture with Hull.
Dec 2 - 12:58 PM

Middlesbrough manager Aitor Karanka says defender George Friend is his only fitness concern ahead of Monday's match against Hull City at the Riverside Stadium.

George Friend has been ruled out of Monday's clash with Hull City but seems to progress well as he recovers from an ankle injury, according to manager Aitor Karanka. "As everybody expected, George is going really quick," Karanka said. "He’s doing really well but I think another week or two at least." With Friend unavailable for GW14, Fabio is expected to make his third start of the season.

Manchester United have beaten off Premier League opposition like Arsenal and Chelsea to sign Dutch 16 year old Millen Baars from Ajax.

Baars left Ajax in spite of being made captain of the B1 side this season. Baars arrives at Old Trafford having spent 9 years in the academy at Ajax, which recently produced other United prospects like Timothy Fosu-Mensah. Baars has already featured for the Red Devils' Under 16 team and will be eligible for Under 18 competition from January.
