Defender Jonas Olsson will miss West Brom's home match against Norwich after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season yesterday against Manchester City.

One of Diego Lugano or Craig Dawson will come in to partner Gareth McAuley against a dire Norwich team. If we get any indication of who will start, that player becomes fantasy relevant for at least the weekend.

Newcastle United were able to avoid relegation on the final day of the season with a 2-0 win over West Ham United.

It was a nervy atmosphere at St. James' Park as expected, and though the Magpies showed themselves better in the opening half of the match than they had in quite a long time, anxiety continued to grow around the stadium as they went into the locker room at halftime with the game still 0-0. The breakthrough came in the 54th minute, when Jonas Gutierrez sent a cross toward the Hammers' far post and found Moussa Sissoko, who headed it in strongly. The job was not finished though, as a second goal was needed to truly feel safe and it came courtesy of Gutierrez who sent a strike that was helped by a deflection into the net for his first goal in over two years. Newcastle ended February looking like they would only need one more positive result to avoid relegation. Though there is plenty of issues with the club, they can rest easy now that they got the job done in time.

Loic Remy scored twice to give Chelsea one last win in the Premier League this season, this time a 3-1 win over Sunderland.

The Blues finish the season with 87 points and an eight point lead on Manchester City but it could have easily been more if they didn't get complacent in the last couple of weeks. Loic Remy showed he possesses the quality needed at the top level as he's done all season when filling in for the injured Diego Costa. Costa also scored today and the Chelsea striker force goes into next season healthy and in form. The Blues are already the favorites for the title next season and Costa and Remy will be big part of their run.

Leicester City defeated QPR 5-1 in the last match of the season.

The Foxes took the lead early and never let go as they scored five goals, one each from Vardy, Albrighton, Ulloa, Cambiasso, and Kramaric. Leicester finish off the season on a hot streak, winning seven of their last nine matches to secure a spot in the Premier League next season. Nigel Pearson will be proud of the effort in the last two months and he's stated there won't be big spending this summer. Look out for Vardy in fantasy drafts next season, as he's shown growth this year and has looked incredible in the past few weeks. QPR, on the other hand, will be relegated as they finish last in the league.

Juan Cuadrado was subbed out in Chelsea's last match of the season with a knock.

Cuadrado was replaced by Loic Remy right before the half. The extent of the injury is unknown, so we will update you as we know more. Cuadrado was rarely used by Jose Mourinho this season and his future at the club is uncertain. There will be rumors surrounding Cuadrado this summer and he could very well leave just months after arriving at the club. If he does stay at Chelsea, his fantasy value will be limited next season as we don't know how much playing time he'll get from Mourinho.

Didier Drogba was carried off the pitch in what is most likely his last Chelsea match.

The Blues' legend started the last Premier League match of the season in what was a move to give him the respect he deserves at the club. He was subbed out after 28 minutes and he saw his teammates literally carry him off the pitch while he earned a standing ovation from the fans. Drogba said earlier today that he wants to play another year of football but will likely need to go to another club to do it because of the situation at Chelsea, so it seems his time in a Blues' shirt is over. He has said multiple times he would be interested in returning to Chelsea in a managerial role, but his time as a player is finished.

Sylvain Distin has picked up an illness this week and will need to be assessed before getting the go-ahead for what would be the final match of his career tomorrow against Tottenham.

The Martinez quote in the tweet that this news is attached to states that "We hope he (Distin) can make a farewell appearance on Sunday." Judging by his turn of phrase, even if Distin is a full go, it doesn't appear he will play any more of a role than a cameo substitution in the latter stages of the match, unless of course an injury or a sending off results in an earlier substitution. For fantasy owners, it is a situation to avoid.

Liam Bridcutt has failed to recover from injury in time to face champions Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on the final day of the 2014/15 British Premier League season.

Bridcutt returned to the starting line-up against Leicester last weekend replacing the injured Jordi Gomez [fractured patella] but the winger was replaced on the hour mark after taking a knock to the knee. It was hoped that Bridcutt could play a part on Sunday but having secured their top-flight status at the Emirates midweek Dick Advocaat will take no risks and Adam Johnson looks set to retain his place. Lee Cattermole could also miss out – the midfielder has accumulated 14 yellow cards this season [joint BPL high] and one more caution would see a suspension carried over to the beginning of the 2015/16 campaign. Duncan Watmore is on standby should Danny Graham fail to recover from an ankle injury.

Emmanuel Adebayor has been allowed to return to his homeland - Togo - for personal reasons.

Adebayor has been practically replaced by Harry Kane in the Tottenham rotation this season so he won't be missed in the final gameweek. Tottenham face Everton tomorrow and will be fighting for points as they battle for a spot in the Europa Cup. Adebayor's future at Tottenham is shady at best and he will have to answer a number of questions in the summer. His fantasy value for next season will largely depend on where he lands in the transfer market.

Wes Brown will miss the last match of the season due to a knee injury.

The 35-year old has played 25 matches for Sunderland this year but will be missing in week 38 due to a knee injury. No Sunderland players are really worth owning in regular formats this week since they face a tough match against Chelsea.
May 23 - 3:15 PM

Nigel Pearson praised Jamie Vardy, who has established himself as a consistent option for Leicester.

Vardy has been called into the England squad for their upcoming matches against the Republic of Ireland and Slovenia and his manager, Nigel Pearson, has praised him. Vardy has been fantastic for the past two months and has earned the call-up. Pearson also noted that he doesn't expect Leicester to spend big this summer and will instead rely on the development of his squad for next season. If that turns out to be true, Vardy will be a solid fantasy pick in drafts next year.

Costel Pantilimon will not be risked in gameweek 38 with a knee injury.

Sunderland have successfully avoided relegation and there is zero reason for them to risk their goalkeeper with a knee injury. The injury is not supposed to be very serious and shouldn't be a problem for next season. Vito Mannone is expected to start for the first time this year but is not a good fantasy option against Chelsea.
