James Milner inspired a superb Manchester City comeback to end Bayern Munich's record run of 10 consecutive Champions League wins.

Bayern were dominant early on as Thomas Muller struck before Mario Gotze scored to put the home side 2-0 up. The returning David Silva pulled a goal back from close range, Aleksandar Kolarov equalised with a penalty after James Milner was tripped before Milner's fine finish won the match for City. Manuel Pellegrini rested Vincent Kompany, Yaya Toure, Sergio Aguero and Alvaro Negredo, making the result all the more impressive.

Eden Hazard was brilliant in Chelsea's 1-1 draw against Southampton.

The Chelsea winger was causing havoc for the Southampton defense the entire match and came up with a goal to give Chelsea the 1-1 draw. It was Sadio Mane that opened up the scoring on a breakaway in the first half, but Chelsea rebounded well and pushed Southampton. Hazard then received a long ball, beat two defenders, and scored right before halftime. The second-half was scoreless and both teams earned a point. Chelsea are now just four points ahead of Manchester City, but with a likely win for City today, their lead will be cut down to one. Buckle up, the title race is in full effect.

Tottenham survived a dominant first half display by Manchester United and were able to trade blows from then on as the two sides would play a lively but ultimately 0-0 affair.

Hugo Lloris has been the brightest part of Tottenham's defense, and he gave another performance that probably made the difference in earning a point. What was promising for Spurs though was their back four, who were as solid as they have been all season with Fazio especially effective as he even had some attempts at the other end. He and Jan Vertonghen appear to have nailed down the center back partnership while Vlad Chiriches has shown some positive growth playing at right back. With Chelsea up next, there won't be any reason to consider a Spurs defender, but their stock is rising.

Dec 28 - 9:37 AM

Manchester United's strong form was cooled down by a solid defensive performance from Tottenham as Spurs would stave off a first half barrage and gradually take control in a 0-0 final.

Amazingly, United rolled out an unchanged XI in league play for the first time since 2012, and it occurs during their shortest rest of the season. Perhaps a fresh player or two could have made the difference. Regardless, the Red Devils had a bounty of chances in the first half, but Hugo Lloris and the defense came up big with a curling effort by Ashley Young touched away by the keeper and Vlad Chiriches clearing a Robin van Persie effort off the line. Falcao had a miserable fantasy day with a yellow card and not much more. United will likely find the net again when they travel to Stoke on New Year's.

Grazianno Pelle and Steven Davis are both suffering from fatigue and are at risk of being rested on Sunday.

The Southampton players have been overworked in recent weeks and were both taken out on Friday. It's not certain that they will be rested, but both are risks to play in fantasy this week. Harrison Reed, Dusan Tadic, and Shane Long will earn playing time if Pelle or Davis are rested.
Dec 27 - 6:08 PM

Ryan Bertrand is unavailable for week 19 due to a clause in his contract preventing him from playing against his parent club.

Bertrand is on loan from Chelsea and cannot face the Blues due to a clause in his contract. The options to replace him at left-back are experienced Toby Alderweireld and youngster Matt Targett. Alderweireld is a lock to play either at left-back or center-back and thus is the better fantasy option.
Dec 27 - 6:11 PM

Connor Wickham returns from suspension in week 18 and will be available to face Aston Villa.

Wickham was suspended for accumulating five yellow cards. He has had a quiet fantasy season and has only averaged five fantasy points per match. Away at Villa, he is not a great fantasy option.
Dec 27 - 6:14 PM

Manchester City forward Stevan Jovetic could feature in GW19 after being an unused substitute on Boxing Day.

Jovetic is Manchester City's only active striker at the moment and they need him to get healthy sooner rather than later. After being an unused substitute, Jovetic will likely be given at least half an hour on Sunday against Burnley. Manchester City are bound to score a number of goals against Burnley and it's just a matter of whether or not Jovetic is on the pitch when the goals start flowing. He is a risky differential play this week but makes for a fantastic barn-door candidate due to Manchester's easy matchup in week 20.
Dec 27 - 5:31 PM

Everton goalkeeper Joel Robles is likely to start on Sunday against Newcastle due to the injury to American goalkeeper Tim Howard.

Everton are playing at St James' Park so the matchup is not ideal for a goalkeeper, but Everton aren't likely to get destroyed and at £ 2.33M, Robles is a decent enough option to allow you to spend extra elsewhere. Everton's New Year's Day game is also away from home so Robles isn't likely to have a premium matchup anytime soon. Use with caution.
Dec 27 - 5:39 PM

Steven Naismith will serve a one-match ban during gameweek 19 for accumulation of yellow cards.

Samuel Eto'o is set to start against Newcastle and makes for a decent option considering he is rested. Naismith will likely start on New Year's Day against Hull City and will be a solid option as a part of Everton's attack. He is definitely usable in season-long formats where depth is an issue but probably shouldn't be considered in the Yahoo! Fantasy game.
Dec 27 - 5:46 PM

Fraizer Campbell picked up a knock on Boxing Day and is at risk to missing the week 19 match at QPR.

Campbell's injury isn't expected to be very serious but with only 48 hours to recover from Boxing Day, it's unlikely he is passed fit for Sunday. With Crystal Palace's manager getting sacked, Campbell is to be avoided for at least this week. Depending on the new manager and his injury/circumstance, he could become an option in later weeks. Don't drop him just yet in season-long formats. Marouane Chamakh is also injured and Palace will have to rely on Dwight Gayle to lead the line.
Dec 27 - 5:53 PM

Kyle Walker is a high risk to be rested on Sunday after missing nine months to injury.

Walker returned from injury just a few weeks ago and is now a risk to be rested due to not having full match fitness. After missing nine months, it would be incredible to see him play twice in 48 hours. Kyle Naughton will likely benefit and get the start, but his fantasy value is limited with Manchester United coming to town.
