Danny Welbeck scored twice in the opening 18 minutes for Manchester United and the Red Devils were in cruise control from then on, coasting to a 0-3 win.

After going goalless since August 17th, Welbeck put on his scoring shoes today, being in the right place for both of his tallies and delivering the proper finish. His first goal was a result of an Adnan Januzaj header that bounced off the left post and into Welbeck's path just in front of goal, and he slotted home before the keeper could react. The second came moments later from an Antonio Valencia cross, due to his marker Nathan Baker pulling up with a cramp in the buildup. Again, Welbeck positioned himself and found the target. He should get regular playing time during Robin van Persie's absence so Welbeck could emerge as an interesting 3rd forward option in fantasy lineups.

Led by goals from Aaron Ramsey and Alexis Sanchez, Arsenal beat Chelsea 2-1 at Wembley Stadium to win the 2016-17 FA Cup title.

After a season that saw the club and manager heavily criticized for finishing fifth in the league there was a silver lining in the form of an FA Cup title. Not only did the Gunners best league champions Chelsea but they were the better side for long stretches of the match. They could have easily scored five on the day with Ramsey, Ozil, and Welbeck going close in addition to the two goals they did score. The win was all the more impressive with Laurent Koscielny, Shkodran Mustafi, and Gabriel all missing from Arsenal's central defense.

Manchester City has wasted no time in reshaping its squad with the signing of Monaco midfielder Bernardo Silva.

It's been a busy week at Manchester City, just days after the club secured its Champions League status with a fourth-place finish, as the Sky Blues released Gael Clichy, Jesus Navas, Bacary Sagna, Pablo Zabaleta and Willy Caballero. But just a day later, Guardiola pulled off a massive swoop for coveted 23-year-old Monaco playmaker Bernardo Silva in a £43.6 million move on a five-year contract. The Portuguese international recorded 10 goals and 10 assists this season for Ligue 1 winners Monaco.

West Ham announced its first signing of the summer with a move for Manchester City's Pablo Zabaleta.

The long-time Manchester City defender left the Sky Blues after nine seasons, which included two Premier League titles, to join the Hammers on a two-year deal in a free transfer. The 32-year-old said he turned down offers from across Europe in order to remain in the Premier League and will now compete with Sam Byram for the starting right-back spot. ""Sometimes a new challenge is all you need as a person and as a player. I thought my time at City was done. There were a few notable omissions from Gareth Southgate’s England squad ahead of their international double header in June.

Captain Wayne Rooney has been left out for the upcoming games against Scotland and France because of the "good form" of other players, while contract rebel Ross Barkley, is apparently nursing a minor injury which he picked up on the final day at the Emirates. Burnley centre-back Michael Keane has not recovered from the calf strain which has kept him sidelined since the end of April, however, teammate Tom Heaton retains his place. Surprisingly, Jermain Defoe is one of four named strikers - Harry Kane, Jamie Vardy and Marcus Rashford – join the Bournemouth bound 34-year-old. Southampton duo Nathan Redmond and James Ward-Prowse, who earned their first senior caps in March, have been selected for the Under-21s ahead of the European Championships in June.

Danny Welbeck admits an ongoing foot problem has limited his game-time during the season the run-in.

Although his injury is not considered serious, the Arsenal forward revealed the niggling complaint makes it difficult to play matches in quick succession: "It's just a bruise on the bottom of my foot. So, any time I'm running on it, then I'm just repeatedly banging on the bruise," he said. The England international was reflecting on another injury hampered campaign, after knee surgery last year meant Welbeck had to wait until January before making his first Premier League appearance. He was restricted to just 8 league starts, the first of which didn’t come until March. "You do get your little niggles here and there, and it's something that you've got to cope with. But I feel like I've been handling it pretty well, and I've had no major reactions with my knees." Welbeck will compete with Olivier Giroud for a place in Saturdays FA Cup final side.

But at least Steve Parish and company know that the 24-year-old is committed for the next five years through the 2022 season amid rumors he could leave for Spurs this summer. Said Zaha about the new deal: "Palace is in my heart and I don't think the story is over. I spoke with Steve and I think I still have more to give this Club. The supporters have been amazing and I want us to do more than just stay in the League next year. I would like to thank the Chairman for being a big part of my journey and his fellow owners for backing me and rewarding my progression. Let's do this!"

But after making 23 appearances for United under Jose Mourinho, Blind hopes he has done enough to stay: "I don’t really know anything yet about my future. I haven’t really thought about it either. But which player wouldn’t want to stay at Manchester United? That’s the only thing I can say about it."

Navas joined the club in 2013 from Sevilla and went on to make more than 100 appearances in four years. The Spaniard made 24 appearances in the Premier League this season, mostly from the bench, and found a niche as a right-back. The 31-year-old has been linked with a return to Sevilla as well as a move to AS Roma. Said director of football Txiki Begiristain: "Working with Jesus has been a pleasure. His hard work, dedication, professionalism and desire to win have been apparent every single day. Gael Clichy's Manchester City contract has expired will not be renewed according to an announcement from the club.

Clichy's move from the Emirates to the Etihad was one of the early moves that City made as they started to build a squad that could contend for Premier League and Champions League honors. While he spent most of his City tenure battling Aleksandar Kolarov for the starting left back spot, he did manage to collect two Premier League winners medals and feature in 138 matches for the club. He could still catch on elsewhere in the Premier League, perhaps a little farther down the table and be a productive player. He will be available on a free transfer this summer.
