Ross Barkley scored the game winning goal for Everton in their 2-1 victory over Swansea.

Barkley's goal came from a spectacular free kick so he gets the points for a set piece goal and a game winning goal. Seamus Coleman scored the other Everton goal and Bryan Oviedo scored in his own net. Oviedo has been a fantasy favorite in recent weeks but the own goals surely hurt his fantasy production this week. Swansea controlled the ball 55% of the time but couldn't capitalize on any chances and were left pointless as Everton climb into the top four.

Jack Wilshere ended his long layoff with a substitute appearance against Hull City in Monday's 3-1 Arsenal win.

With Arsenal playing well in his absence, it wasn't clear exactly when Jack Wilshere was going to get his chance to start working back to the sort of form that only first team action can provide. Wilshere got his first dip back in the pool on Monday when he came on for Aaron Ramsey in the 68th minute. He didn't contribute a great deal in his 22+ minutes on the pitch but at least it's a start.

Aaron Ramsey provided an assist to Alexis Sanchez and then took matters into his own hands and scored Arsenal's second which turned out to be the winner in the 3-1 away result.

It wasn't a vintage Aaron Ramsey performance per se but it was certainly a productive one as the Welshman contributed a goal and an assist to the 3-1 win. The reason to say that it wasn't a vintage performance was that those two contributions were about the only evidence that Ramsey played and he went off after 68 minutes. If the deflection that led to Ramsey's goal goes in a different direction then his week looks entirely different.

There was no clean sheet this time around but Hector Bellerin produced nine points in the Yahoo format in the 3-1 Arsenal win over Hull City on Monday.

The only gap in Bellerin's recent production has been the match where he didn't start in favor of the returning Mathieu Debuchy. In Week 35, Bellerin contributed three interceptions, a shot on target, a successful cross, and a tackle won. Add those nine points to the 10 in Week 34 and 10 in Week 32 and you've got a nice run of fantasy form.

Ahmed Elmohamady continued his strong fantasy production with an assist on Hull City's lone goal against Arsenal in the 3-1 loss at the KC Stadium.

After 17 fantasy points last week we wrote about the surprise that Ahmed Elmohamady is Hull City's leader in fantasy points this season. He didn't disappoint in Week 35 with an assist, three successful crosses and a tackle won. It wasn't a transcendent performance by any stretch of the imagination but when looking for players in single ownership formats heading into next season (assuming Hull City stays up) Elmohamady isn't a bad value play, even more so if he's listed flexibly as both a defender and a midfielder.

John Terry wants to see Didier Drogba at the club next season and hopes Chelsea give him a new deal.

Didier Drogba's contract expires at the end of the season but John Terry hopes the striker returns. Drogba is the third choice striker at Chelsea right now behind Diego Costa and Loic Remy, but with both of them injured, he's provided incredible cover considering his age. Drogba would not be a fantasy option next season if he returns, but he could once again play an important role in Chelsea's title run.

Brazilian coach Dunga announced his 23-man squad for next month’s Copa America which included a number of Premier League players, however there was one notable absentee – Chelsea midfielder Oscar.

It was widely accepted that Oscar – who sat out of Sundays’ win over Crystal Palace – was still suffering from the after-effects of concussion but Dunga revealed "Oscar got an injury in his last training session with Chelsea, we spoke with Jose Mourinho and the doctor. His recuperation will take time he won’t be at his best during the Copa America." The specifics of the injury aren’t known at this stage although it is believed to be muscular related – possibly thigh – and with the Premier League title already secured the club will take no chances. Team mates Willian and Felipe Luis were called up along with Liverpool play maker Philippe Coutinho.

Daniel Sturridge will play no further part this season after Liverpool made the decision for the England international to undergo surgery in an attempt to have the striker fully fit for the start of new campaign.

Sturridge has been struggling with ongoing hamstring, thigh and hip problems and was sent to America for a specialist assessment which highlighted an underlying condition thought to be the main cause of his problems. With only 3-games remaining and Champions League qualification unlikely the player opted to go under the knife rather than risk breaking down again at a later stage. In his absence Liverpool have struggled to hit the dizzy heights of last season especially in front of goal as Mario Balotelli, Fabio Borini and Rickie Lambert have all failed to fill the void managing a meagre 4 league goals between them.

Burnley cannot seem to buy a goal these days but their defense came off a productive weekend despite the 1-0 loss away to West Ham United.

Burnley are now on six games played without scoring a single goal, with the past four matches all ending in 0-1 or 1-0 results. Their defense though has been respectable, conceding a total of ten goals in their last ten games combined. Despite keeping clean sheets in only two of those contests, Claret defensive options have shown to be productive, such as this past loss to the Hammers. Three of the four defenders reached double digit points in the Yahoo game, including Ben Mee who scored 11. They will be tasked to stop Dame N'Doye in a pivotal relegation battle this coming weekend.

Seamus Coleman had a tough day for fantasy managers as Everton shipped three goals in their loss to Aston Villa over the weekend, resulting in a nice price discount.

Coleman had the worst score of any of the Toffee defenders with a -4 in the Yahoo game. That has triggered a price drop which should be considered for Week 35 as Everton will be set to host Sunderland. While the Black Cats are coming off of a positive display with a win at home, odds are they will find things difficult at Goodison Park. Between attacking and defending potential, Coleman should be among the ranked defenders to own for Week 35.

What was once assumed to be a replacement because of injury woes and a subsequent shift in form, it appears Glen Johnson has now carved out a place in Liverpool's XI.

Brendan Rodgers has recently changed his formation to restore a conventional back four instead of three, and it has handed Johnson another opportunity after spending much of 2015 as bench depth. Part of the initial take on the formation shift was a perceived injury to Alberto Moreno but he has since been declared fit only for Rodgers to stick with Johnson this past weekend. The England international is going for pretty cheap in the Yahoo game, but even if you think he is back for an extended run, you may want to wait an extra week as the Reds will be traveling to Stamford Bridge next.
May 5 - 11:07 AM

With Daryl Janmaaat and Mike Williamson both suspended for their next match, expect another patchwork defensive unit named by John Carver as Newcastle host West Brom this weekend.

Fabricio Coloccini will be at center back as per usual, otherwise Carver will have to move a few pieces around lest he wants to dip in to his youth squad. Expect Ryan Taylor to shift back to right back to fill in for Janmaat, Jack Colback to shift to left back from central midfield and Paul Dummett, who would normally be at left back, to push in to partner Coloccini. It would be difficult to imagine anything but a long day at the office for this unit, so despite not being known for attacking investment, the Baggies should be looked at for possible options there to potentially exploit the Toon.
