Olivier Giroud has been ruled out for Arsenal's match against Cardiff City tomorrow with an ankle injury.

The ankle injury is very minor and Giroud shouldn't miss much time past tomorrow. Lukas Podolski, Nicklas Bendtner, or a combination of both are going to come in for Giroud in a very favorable matchup against Cardiff City. Kieran Gibbs has also been ruled out.

West Ham United defender Arthur Masuaku is prepared to step into the starting XI for Saturday's London derby with Arsenal.

Masuaku returned from a two-months injury spell in Wednesday's EFL Cup defeat by Manchester United, and is in line to deputize for the injured Aaron Cresswell against Arsenal. Masuaku, who started the first five league matches with Cresswell unavailable through injury, told West Ham's official website he is ready to once again step up. "We lost Michail Antonio and Cressy through injury [on Wednesday] and that makes things more difficult," said the 23-year-old defender, who debuted in the London derby at Chelsea in August. "I hope that we are going to beat Arsenal on Saturday and that is my only target."

Middlesbrough defender Dani Ayala could feature in Monday's fixture with Hull City, according to manager Aitor Karanka.

Ayala, who has missed the last four league matches through injury, could make his return this week. "Dani is training with the team and he is ready, it’s just my decision," manager Aitor Karanka said. "I have to take it all in and we will see." This is good news for Middlesbrough as they will most likely be without fullback George Friend for Monday's fixture with Hull.

Middlesbrough manager Aitor Karanka says defender George Friend is his only fitness concern ahead of Monday's match against Hull City at the Riverside Stadium.

George Friend has been ruled out of Monday's clash with Hull City but seems to progress well as he recovers from an ankle injury, according to manager Aitor Karanka. "As everybody expected, George is going really quick," Karanka said. "He’s doing really well but I think another week or two at least." With Friend unavailable for GW14, Fabio is expected to make his third start of the season.

Manchester United have beaten off Premier League opposition like Arsenal and Chelsea to sign Dutch 16 year old Millen Baars from Ajax.

Baars left Ajax in spite of being made captain of the B1 side this season. Baars arrives at Old Trafford having spent 9 years in the academy at Ajax, which recently produced other United prospects like Timothy Fosu-Mensah. Baars has already featured for the Red Devils' Under 16 team and will be eligible for Under 18 competition from January.

Hull City are set to give 19 year old striker Jarrod Bowen his first Premier League start on Monday night after injuries have ruled out most other options.

Bowen has been around the fringes of the first team squad of late having appeared in the league, EFL Cup and FA Cup for the club already. He has been consistently scoring for the Hull Development Squad scored a couple of goals for the senior squad in 331 minutes of preseason friendlies as the squad became short of numbers. Manager Mike Phelan has admitted he has been impressed by Bowen and may be forced to introduce the striker before a live TV audience against 'Boro as Mbokani is suspended while Hernandez, Keane and Maloney are injured.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has insisted that Bastian Schweinsteiger does not have to leave the club in the upcoming January transfer window.

The World Cup winning former German international had been ostracised from Mourinho's first team plans up until his reappearance as a substitute against West Ham in the ELF Cup on Wednesday - his first competitive minutes since the new manager arrived in the summer. Schweinsteiger had been training with the United reserves and Under 23s until October until he was brought back to first team training to make up the numbers. Mou also admitted that United did try to sell him in the summer. However, the midfielder has 18 months left to run on his contract and may suddenly be tempted to stay and fight for his place one last time at the highest level before a long-speculated move to the MLS. Mourinho did hint that any future role for Basti would be as a rotation option at best.

Anthony Martial was dropped from the squad for the Europa League match against Feyenoord and the PL clash with West Ham by Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho but he returned on Wednesday with a brace against the Hammers in the EFL Cup.

The young French international's return was down to the fact that he was "working harder" according to Mourinho. All this points towards what we already knew, Martial is not viewed as a key player in the current regime. However, Mourinho has opined that Martial's brace will spur him on to continue working hard to continue reaping the rewards and getting game time.

Manchester United full-back Luke Shaw looks to be a doubt for the club's Gameweek 14 clash with Everton at Goodison Park.

Shaw started Wednesday night's 4-1 drubbing of West Ham at Old Trafford but was replaced at half time after limping off the pitch. Daly Blind replaced him that night and now looks to be in line to make his first league start in over a month. This minor issue looks like it will sideline him or at least reduce him to limited minutes at Everton. However, Shaw is unlikely to be starting 100% consistently in the near future as Mourinho is trying to reintroduce him to the side slowly in order to avoid aggravating recently sustained problems.

Jurgen Klopp has reported that Adam Lallana is back in training as of Thursday and "looked good", offering some optimism on the midfielder returning this weekend.

It is a bit of a mess in the Reds injury department for their attacking players, with some good news, and some bad. The best news of the lot is the possible return of Lallana for the weekend's match against Bournemouth, but Jurgen Klopp has several ways he can approach a strong XI, even without Lallana's inclusion. Roberto Firmino is expected to play, and may form a front three with Sadio Mane and Divock Origi, though Lallana could find a wide role in that trident. Should he revert back to the middle of the park, he will need to oust one of Jordan Henderson, Emre Can or Georginio Wijnaldum. Fantasy managers will hope for the best but may want to consider an alternative option as a Sunday kickoff gives even managers in formats that allow for lineup changes during the gameweek very limited replacement options.

Liverpool will be without Daniel Sturridge for their trip to AFC Bouremouth on Sunday as the forward has yet to recover from a calf injury.

The Sturridge injury saga continues on and this one may be the final straw for Jurgen Klopp, as rumors are floating rampantly of a move for Sturridge in the January transfer window. At first, some begrudged Klopp for not finding space for Sturridge in the early stages of the season, but the England international has not done much in the time he's been given in league play, failing to score a single goal in 380 minutes of pitch time. Now, he will miss his fourth of the past six games, and even when he starts, he rarely plays for more than an hour. He is an excellent finisher, no doubt, but he has been fantasy poison for the past two years now.

Stoke City could be without its captain for Saturday's match against Burnley this weekend due to a calf injury.

Ryan Shawcross missed the club's shutout win against Watford last weekend due to the injury, which manager Mark Hughes says has not fully healed: "It’s a niggling injury right in the middle of the calf and you have to be careful with those because they can be a little big problematic if you come back too soon. We will be careful with him, he’s out with the physios, he could be back training with us tomorrow but if not then we’ll take our time and see if we can get him back next week." If Shawcross in unavailable, Hughes is expected to go with Marc Muniesa in the center of defense as he did in last week's 1-0 victory.
