Dani Osvaldo has completed a medical with Juventus and has sealed his loan move to the Italian club.

The move comes at no surprise after Mauricio Pochettino said earlier in the week that it's unlikely Osvaldo plays for Southampton again after relations with his teammates have deteriorated due to his training ground fight with Jose Fonte. The Italian striker was tied for third place for goals scored in the Italian Serie A last season and could form a lethal partnership with Carlos Tevez. He is on loan with Juventus until the end of the season with the option for a permanent move in the summer.

Mere days after being elected to head the sport's world governing body for a fifth consecutive four-year term, Sepp Blatter has stepped down as the breadth and depth of scandal under his watch continues to come to light.

There is still no smoking gun linking Blatter to any personal misconduct, at least none that has been made public. The growing evidence against senior FIFA officials and likely pressure from sponsors and regional federations have combined to see the 40-year FIFA employee resign his post. Blatter will stay in office until a successor can be elected at an extraordinary FIFA Congress that will have to be organized. (Apologies to Lucas Podolski for being the player we associate this story with but he was a FIFA World Cup winner and we had to choose someone as we don't have a Sepp Blatter "player card" in our database).

AFC Bournemouth have executed their third signing of the summer thus far as they strengthen their newly promoted side with a loan deal for Chelsea's Christian Atsu.

The Ghana international spent the past season loaned away to Everton and did not get a chance to make much of an impression, failing to start a single league match, collecting no goals and only an assist in league play. It is safe to say his role will be increased dramatically with the Cherries thereby thrusting him onto the fantasy radar heading into next season. He will certainly be worth monitoring in pre-season to see how Eddie Howe plans to utilize him.

Former Reading goalkeeper Adam Federici has signed with AFC Bournemouth on a free transfer.

Federici had his contract expire at the end of the 2014/2015 season and Reading had no interest in striking a new deal. Federici had spent the previous ten years under Reading's control, with loan spells to several other clubs peppered in along the way. Unless something strange is afoot, he should arrive at Dean Court with his role already known - a backup to Artur Boruc, who the Cherries brought in from Southampton a few days ago.

Tottenham have signed Kevin Wimmer, an Austrian center back by way of FC Köln, to a five year contract.

Already the youngest squad in the top flight, Spurs continue to plant seeds for the future with the signing of the twenty-two year old center back. Brought in for a fee of 4.3M, Wimmer will likely not work himself immediately into the XI, but with the possibility of both Younes Kaboul and Vlad Chiriches leaving White Hart Lane this summer, it shouldn't leave the new signing too far down the depth chart. Wimmer has a reputation for sacrificing his body to get the job done, evidenced by leading the Bundeslinga in blocks this past season.

Dedric Boyata has moved from Manchester City to Celtic for £1.5 million and signed a 4-year deal with the SPL side.

Boyata hasn't been a significant part of the Manchester City side for some time but the move is significant only in that Boyata, who came to City at the age of 16, counted as a home grown player for City. With his departure, the once-capped Belgium international joins Frank Lampard, Scott Sinclair, and potentially James Milner as home grown players leaving the Etihad this summer. City are going to have to start recruiting English players fast if they are to meet FA and Champions League regulations.

Petr Cech started for Chelsea in their friendly against Sydney FC yesterday.

Cech has been replaced by Thibaut Courtois as the main goalkeeper at Chelsea this season and wants to leave to a club where he will be the starter. He has a number of suitors and will most likely be gone by the summer. This move could be Chelsea's way of showcasing his skills and showing teams he can still play as a way to increase his price. His fantasy stock will increase next season if he ends up at a club where he's the starter.

Brad Guzan has been named the starting goalkeeper for the US Men's National Team for their upcoming Gold Cup.

Guzan lost his job at Aston Villa late in the season to 39-year-old Shay Given, putting his future with USMNT in a slight doubt. It now sounds that he is still the number one goalkeeper during Tim Howard's one year leave, but his leash will probably be shorter should he not perform up to par. Guzan's dip in form this season is concerning for Villa fans and they may have to look for a new goalkeeper this summer if Guzan doesn't regain his old form.

ESPNFC.com is reporting that they have sources that have indicated that Liverpool would be willing to swap Raheem Sterling for Theo Walcott and Kieran Gibbs.

The swap is an interesting one for both sides. Liverpool, potentially smarting from losing one top level player for cash last summer and not doing exceptionally well spending that cash, might be interested in a deal that yields them a potential 15 goal, 10 assist man (Walcott's 2012-13 stats in 24 PL starts) along with an upgrade at left back. Arsenal would have to find a replacement at reserve left back but would presumably jump at the chance to bring in a younger, and in some eyes more talented version of Walcott. It is a rare transfer window rumor that actually makes some level of sense for both sides even if swap deals almost never actually come to pass.

Nigel Pearson is pleased with the way Marc Albrighton performed near the end of the season.

Albrighton started the season extremely poorly and didn't really make much of his opportunities, to the point where he was in and out of the squad for the majority of the season. About seven matches before the end of the year, he was given another chance and he ran with it. He has played wing-back for Leicester to close out the season and was absolutely instrumental to their success. Pearson is impressed with how Albrighton worked hard on both sides of the ball and he will certainly be rewarded with another chance next campaign. Albrighton is a mid-round pick with a huge upside but definitely carries a risk.

Christian Benteke claims that his agent will be the one to decide his future as he knows what the player wants.

There are a number of rumors for Benteke to leave Aston Villa this summer and it seems like it will happen sooner or later. Arsenal, Mancester United, and Liverpool are considered the favorites but Benteke's choice is probably one of the former two since he wants to play in the Champions League. His agent was also recorded earlier this week saying that Benteke will indeed leave Aston Villa, so the rumors are getting stronger and stronger about his departure. His fantasy stock will depend strongly on where he ends up.

Reports in The Sun and Daily Mail indicate that David De Gea has been convinced to give up Old Trafford for the Bernabau this summer.

Manchester United's summer started off well with the arrival of Memphis Depay but it may start going in the wrong direction if reports today about David De Gea leaving are correct. The Spanish goalkeeper has been linked with a move to Real Madrid for some time and the rumor mill has that move becoming closer and closer to reality. The move would be a big dent in Manchester United's attempt to challenge for the title next season regardless of who they get to replace De Gea.
