Steven Gerrard put in a wonderful performance, indicative of his storied career, guiding Liverpool to a 2-3 win over Fulham, thanks to a converted penalty near the end of the game.
It was vintage Gerrard tonight, as Liverpool needed to erase two deficits before getting the chance to take all the points. Gerrard delivered a fantastic through ball to Daniel Sturridge for his 16th goal of the season, giving the captain an assist. Then, after Philippe Coutinho leveled the match, Sturridge was taken down in the box to set the club captain up with a game winning penalty kick, and he converted like he seemingly always does. It was a quiet night for Luis Suarez, though he did smash the post on one occasion. Still, it is becoming difficult to not find space for Suarez, Sturridge, and Gerrard, the way they are going right now.
