Younes Kaboul believes Tim Sherwood is fully deserving of an opportunity to prove that he can manage Tottenham Hotspur long term.

It's the not the praise of Tim Sherwood that is interesting; it's more the clear indication that all was not well under former manager Andre Villas-Boas, a man who never played the game at a professional level. Kaboul stated "He [Sherwood] deserves it. He knows the club very well, he's been here for a long time and he knows exactly what he's doing. He learned a lot in the past and the best fact is that he played football at a high level. He won the title with Blackburn in 1995, so he has plenty of experience. His playing career is important because he knows what it's like for us. We don't waste time on other stuff because he went through everything and he understands. He knows the game perfectly.".

Chelsea are close to agreeing on a two year contract extension with John Terry.

Chelsea assistant Steve Holland reported that Chelsea are working on giving Terry a new contract and he hopes to have a deal soon within the next two weeks. Terry has had a phenomenal comeback season under Jose Mourinho and he's led Chelsea to 15 clean sheets in his 32 appearances. That is a phenomenal record and he continues to be a good fantasy choice. Age doesn't affect defenders as much as other positions and they can usually compensate for their lack of speed with intelligence and positioning. Expect Terry's form to continue.

Eden Hazard hasn't returned to training yet and has been ruled out for Chelsea's match against Sunderland on Saturday.

Hazard is expected to try and return against Atletico Madrid on Tuesday so continue monitoring his status going forward. If Hazard returns against Atletico in midweek, he is a good bet to play against Liverpool next weekend in what is shaping up to be the game that will decide the Premier League title. In his absence, feel free to use Mohamed Salah this weekend.

Lewis Holtby is ineligible to face Tottenham Hotspurs this weekend as the midfielder is on loan from Spurs.

Holtby has been in good form for Fulham as they look to escape from near certain relegation. Ashkan Dejagah will likely deputize for the German, despite being a different type of player. Fulham will miss Holtby's vision and ability to control a match's tempo.

Mousa Dembele is back fit for Spurs as they host Fulham this weekend.

Dembele came through a U21 match earlier in the week, and could feature against Fulham, where he made his name in English football. He may have to settle for a place on the bench, however, with Paulinho, Nabil Bentaleb, and surprisingly Nacer Chadli, ahead of him in the pecking order for the two spots in central midfield.

Spurs striker, Roberto Soldado, is back in training after a hamstring injury. However, this weekend's match against Fulham comes to soon for him to return to first team action.

Soldado's injury has given youngster, Harry Kane, a chance to stake his own claim and two goals in as many matches makes a statement. He'll get a chance to make it three straight against Fulham this weekend.

Michael Dawson is back in training, but won't be considered for the weekend's match against Fulham. Kyle Walker and Jan Vertonghen also miss out again, meaning the Spurs backline almost picks itself.

Kyle Naughton and Younes Kaboul seem nailed on. Vlad Chiriches, and Danny Rose will likely line-up against Fulham, but Zeki Fryers is an option to replace either man.

Davide Santon suffered a hamstring injury in training, and the fear is that it rules him out for the remainder of the season.

Santon is rumoured to be a target for Roma in the off-season, and it would be a shame for his Newcastle career to end this way.

Midfielder Gaston Ramirez injured his ankle (the other ankle from the one that was already giving him problems) and has been ruled out of the weekend match against Aston Villa.

Ramirez has never settled at Southampton. With Jay Rodriguez's injury and the manager's desire to give all his players a chance as the season winds down, Ramirez would have had a chance to stake his claim at the club. As it stands, he's likely to leave in the off-season.

Wayne Rooney is back in training after showing no further effects from the toe injury that kept him out of United's last Premier League match against Newcastle.

Rooney will be available to lead the line against his old club, Everton, this weekend. Rooney is always a good fantasy option, and has a double gameweek coming up in week 37 to add to the appeal.

Everton have signed goalkeeper, Tim Howard, for an additional two years. The US shot-stopper will now be at the club through 2017.

Everton's defence has surprisingly improved under Roberto Martinez, and Tim Howard has been a big part of that. He's now been rewarded with a new deal and should play out his prime years with the Toffees.

Michu is continuing to suffer with an ankle injury that has cost the player most of his season. He is expected to miss out again this weekend against Newcastle United.

This has been a season to forget for the Spanish star. After returning from injury a month ago, he missed last week's match against Chelsea, and looks set to miss out again. A summer break can't come soon enough for Michu.
